Injuries.. Morrison debut Saturday???

by royal jonesy91 » 18 Mar 2011 01:36

So with a number of injuries and players not yet fully fit, would u stick with the same back 4 which played at city or move gunnarsson to right back and put morrisson ctre back with khiz?

Also wit ledge facing a fitness test would Jem slot straight back to ctre mid with tabby or would you keep jem at right back nd put Gunnar ctre mid.. (tabb nd Jem very similar players plus on the small size)

And finally!! Noel hunt being monitored ahead of the weekend would you go with church or manset??

Personally, if I were you, I would spend the time working on my grammar.

What can I say, it's a pet peeve. Also has the tendency to come across as a right w*nker.

If Morrison's fit it makes sense to play him seeing as we bought him. Although Pearce may be back by then and would presumably be ahead of him.

I wonder whether Karacan may end up as a right back eventually, I'm not convinced he has as much awareness and decision making ability as a successful long term midfielder needs. Maybe I'm being harsh. But if Gunnar isn't needed at centreback I'd go with him at right back (unbeaten when he's started there this season). If Ledge could be out Howard going is madness, Karacan and Tabb is rather short and headless chicken midfield.

Hunt being out would be a bitch.. maybe it would give Church an opportunity to turn his form around, but I don't think that'll happen this season. I like Manset and happy to see him get a go, but I'm not sure he's got the fitness to last a match.

McCarthy
Griff (Gunnar)
Zurab
Morrison
Harte
Kebe
Ledge
Tabb
McAnuff
Long
Hunt

Pretty sure that will be the team, only difference could be Jem in for Tabb. Haven't heard about Ledge or Hunt being out anywhere, so don't think thats true at all.

I'm sure if called upon he'd do a decent job. He's young, got a lot about him.

I know Leeds and Fulham were tracking him before Reading stole in in January. We were apparently going to go in for him in the summer but couldn't risk losing him to another club. Future Reading captain!

Looking at the media it would seem Morrison is definite to play if we still only have 1 fully fit centre back tomorrow. Seems he would have played at City if he wasn't cup tied....

Seems to me like we have too long an injury list for some reason. If Legiertwood and Hunt are doubtful then we must have almost a whole team out or touch and go. They all seem to be little niggles that have then got worse and kept them out longer than first thought too.

I'd play Morrison instead of persevering with Gunnarsson. As well as Gunnarsson did their against City it's a different kettle of fish this week and if the lads good enough to be worth buying then he should be good enough to play.

At least some of them can get a rest after this weekend!

But I guess a lot of sides are limping towards the finish line

Hunt and Leigertwood's injuries were from before the City game - I'd expect them both to start, and the OS describes Ingi as "hopeful."

I'd imagine it will be the same 11 as in the cup but possibly with Karacan dropped for Ingimarsson.

Not convinced about McCarthy up front, but I like the idea of two players in goal.
