Gordons Cumming ..............and that's good.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 425528.stm

Not a mention. That's enough to motivate the boys............and a few other teams just outside the play-off places.

Going to be an interesting few weeks coming up.

To be honest I couldn't give an oxford what the BBC says. They're coverage and knowledge of us has always been appalling. Even when we won the league at a canter we hardly received anything of note both locally or nationally.

I'd always much rather be the unfaniced no-hopers that no-one's talking about than be the massive favourites that everyone expects to walk it.

Encouragingly for Reading, their excellent sequence of results has come despite a series of injury problems. Key players such as Noel Hunt, Mikele Leigertwood, Matt Mills, Andy Griffin and Shaun Cummings have been sidelined, but with no apparent impact on results.

Sorry, it made my laugh

Nice one Shaun, btw

I guess you could make a case that our only back up right back is a key player when our first choice one is injured. Especially seeing as Cummings has been pretty good this season. It does kinda leap out at ya though doesn't it.

Be interesting to see how the players cope with the increased pressure of being one of the favourites.

The reserves look strong this afternoon.

Adam Federici, Noel Hunt and Matt Mills will all start for our reserves when they take on Northampton in a friendly this afternoon, kick off 12:30pm.

The trio have missed out through injury recently, but will line up against the Cobblers in a behind-closed-doors game at Hogwood Park.

Also included are Alex Pearce, Shaun Cummings and Simon Church, while Michail Antonio is also part of a strong XI.

Our full team is:
Adam Federici
Shaun Cummings
Matthew Mills
Alex Pearce
Scott Davies
Michail Antonio
Lawson D'Ath
Jake Taylor
Jordan Obita
Simon Church
Noel Hunt

We'll have live updates from the game on our official Twitter feed - go to twitter.com/readingfc to follow the action direct from Hogwood.

Why do we play "behind closed doors"?

Anyway, as I mentioned on another thread - this could mean we have a much strengthened squad to choose from for our remaining games! Fate could be on our side for once.

Would like to see Pearce and Zurab at Forest, rather than zimmer-framed Ivar.

Pearce and Zurab would preferable than Mills and Zurab.

The latter being utterly calamitous earlier in the season.

Church makes it 4-0 just before half time.

Finishes 5-0 with Taylor getting the last for a brace. Nor surprise given the strength of the side, which ought to beat Northampton's first team with ease.
