Should be getting tickets tommorow!

No wait, the club will announce free coaches, and I won't be able to get a ticket.

Now potentially out as I've been notified of potential redundancy. Lovely.

I'm a student up at Uni of Nottingham so have become quite familiar with the workings of the City Ground.

FAO STUNDENTS (OR PEOPLE GETTING STUDENT TICKETS):

In the last couple of months they have become particularly vigilant in checking students for their uni cards or NUS cards at the turnstiles. If you don't have either they will send you to the ticket office to *upgrade* your ticket, and by *upgrade* they don't mean paying the difference between a student ticket and adult ticket, they will just make you pay the full amount for an adult ticket. Not worth the risk in my opinion.

It's up to you of course, depends on how much of a dare devil you feel  just thought I would help by stating the risks.

I have never ever been to a football ground where they check you have an NUS card. They also have no right to charge you a full adult ticket aswell!

I don't know about that, reckon they can refuse you entry on the student ticket, on the grounds that you've pulled a fast one, then if you still want to come in you'll need a ticket, which you can buy over there sir

Spot on. You're entitled to use the student ticket - as long as you can prove you meet the eligibility criteria.

But if you can't, your only alternative is to buy a full ticket.

If the seat number on the email you get after buying one, is how many we have sold, then it was 1423 yesterday morning. Doubt it though, that sounds a lot to me.

The last trip to the City Ground saw an in-form Forest side send Reading into the relegation zone to the tune of the Forest fans singing "you're going down with the Derby,"

This season, Reading have turned the tables so far by indirectly relegating Forest out of the playoffs position.

Depending how Tuesday pans out, Saturday could be very interesting.
