Stop it, he's schooling me. Now I'll remember to include a suitable noun after 'sectarian'. Such as 'qunt'.

Ark Royal

I went there once. Not so nice when it's raining though.

22,000 in a 21,000 capacity ground, which was interesting. It's all-seater but they let people in to stand at the back behind the seats.

Correct. It was freezing when I went. Got a great view of it from the hydrofoil on the way to and from Peterhof.

Been to alot of the major European stadiums
The old Olympic stadium in Munich had something about it

Saw an interesting one last week whilst away on business,Grenoble
Fantastic looking ground for a small stadium
Taken over by Japanese investors a few yrs back and they built this tight little ground thinking they'd be on to a good thing, looks like they could now be zooming into the third tier of French football
Great looking ground though

Estadio da Luz but not when they serve non-alcoholic beer
Olympic stadion in Muenchen has a lovely gothic feel and is a little creepy when foggy

National Stadium in Singapore is great but not in a thunderstorm

&of course, The Vetch

Liking the stadiums on the coast right by the sea, especially Stade Louis II (Monaco).
Not liking any stadium with a running track around.

Candlestick Park, home of the 49ers.

The hottest I have ever been in a sports stadium. Hangover definitely didn't help.

This thread doesn't seem to have considered aesthetics too much, I agree. If you like the water-based locations, might I suggest a look here?

Only been to 1 foreign ground and I went to it in the 1980's so it looked a lot different. Take the roof off and bleach out the colour and you're getting close

What is the capacity of that thing? Love it, although would have more seating behind the goal.

Didn't have the hangover, but did experience the heat, even on Oct 31st...
