Reading FC to Win Championship?

by Snowball » 04 Apr 2011 18:36

On this run, if we beat Preston, and manage WD at Leeds/Forest we can catch Norwich, really we can

Norwich have a VERY tough last seven games. They could lose 4 of the last 7

A Swansea (Could LOSE)
A Watford (Could LOSE)
H Nottm Forest (No Guarantee)
A Ipswich (Could LOSE)
H Derby Should win
A Portsmouth (Could LOSE)
H Coventry Should win

And if we DID catch them, and the League Authorities zapped 20 points off QPR, we might be Champions.

This is only partly tongue-in-cheek.

Snowball - I enjoy most of your stats. But reckon I'd enjoy a pint of what you've been drinking even more!

I filled a hypodermic with optimism and mainlined it.

But ANY club pinching second COULD find themselves champions

Just be grateful reaching the play-offs. There's a lot to do yet and some tough fixtures ahead of us. Auto promotion? No chance!

I'm tempted to incredulously say I'll give £50 to charity if we win the Championship, or even finish 2nd. But my wallet can't take fate's vindictive sense of humour.

That's not much of a promise on the internet. It could be made of cake.

Put a quid on us winning the championship, eat one less bar of chocolate this month, and you're covered.

Put 10p at 721-1 and you'll be in profit if you have to pay the £50

LOL!

Take away the points deduction, and what you have is that Norwich still need another 15 points to see off our challenge for 2nd spot; with that run in, getting those 15 points won't be easy.
