I hope you're not suggesting I'm tight. At 10p for those odds I am officially IN! at the snowball bookmakers.

I'm certainly not out on automatic promotion just yet given our form and our run-in compared to our rivals

I'm fairly sure this thread will be met with many LOLz of course, just because of the originator

You never know, i know its a long shot but . . .

If we win tonight and beat Forest, who are on an awful run and Norwich lose out at Swansea we would be just 4 points off second spot . . . .

Personally though I reckon we will finish fourth

Frankly, I think it'll be a small miracle if we win tonight and on Saturday.

You can get 10p on at betfair, its a cheat but can be done . however i note that betfair odds are now 1000,

or 999/1. so it won't work, however if the odds drop to 750 or similar I will tell you how to bet 10p.

and of course if we beat Preston...scratch that...WHEN we beat preston check the price again.

1000-1

Wow

What price are we to make second? 50-1? 66-1? 100-1?

If so that's 10-1 to 20-1 betting QPR will get 10_ points deducted before season's end.

No it WON'T happen, but a win tonight will halve the odds, a win then on Saturday and I doubt if you'd get 200-1

Snowball So when is the Flight-in-the-Buff, Faq?

The money has to be handed over in person. But if you two met I expect there'd be a big old fight, so I doubt the ceremony will ever take place.

Who'd win I'm not sure. You are much older, and wizened by the effect of being hunched over your lists of figures most of the time. But you were in the military and used to play football. Ian is decades younger and so should be able to take you out with a few quick blows, but I suspect he's an unsporty wimpish type who lacks proper vitamins. So it could be close.

Having looked at the fixtures I think the most points we can realistically get is 81 while Norwich's likely total is 83 on a conservative estimate.

83? You think 13 points from these games is CONSERVATIVE?

H Nottm Forest WIN Probable
H Derby County WIN
H Coventry City WIN

Presumably you are expecting 4/5/6 points from these 4 games?

A Swansea VERY TOUGH, Could easily lose
A Watford Could be anything and Watford seem to have "blown" but they are a good side. A win there will be a very good result
A Ipswich TOUGH, and a local derby. Could easily lose
A Portsmouth VERY TOUGH, Could easily lose

I think Norwich have two wins "nailed on" and probably they'll beat Forest (but Forest could regain form at any moment, including this Saturday). They COULD win at Waford, but I fancy they won't and it wouldn't be any kind of shock to see them lose the other three away games. They might easily only manage WWDDLLL 8 points

Don't get me wrong, I think they are an excellent side and the best TEAM in the division, but this is a really tough last seven games for them.

If we win tonight we'll be 7 points behind Norwich.

IMO, (if Norwich struggle away and get 8-11 points) we'd need 15-18 from the last 7 games. W5 D2 = 17

I know it ain't gonna happen, but...

Have you been stalking me?

I could definitely win convincingly if he's willing to let me choreograph the fight first. I'll let him get a couple of good hits in first, promise. My only hope in a real fight is pretending it's staged and getting my safety horribly wrong by "accident". Don't fancy my chances.

I reckon we'll get 14 points from the last 7 games, which I will be delighted with.

Betfair are not showing odds for 2nd place ..but..to be promoted,I.E. to finish in the 3 promotion places (1st ,2nd or via playoffs)

odds are 4/1.

surely Snowball as a stats man and punter, a better bet for you, If you think QPR will be docked 20 points,

is to lay them to win the league, at time of posting they were 1/14 or in laymans terms 14 to one On,

Ian Royal I'm tempted to incredulously say I'll give £50 to charity if we win the Championship, or even finish 2nd. But my wallet can't take fate's vindictive sense of humour.

Mine can to finish 2nd. I'll take your generosity and double it!

OK.. Betfair odds now, are 750 which is 749/1 if you want to have 10p on here is what you do--

1st....click on 750 ...when box comes up request odds of 1000, stake £2...click place bet.....

then go to my bets, then you will have unmatched bet of £2 at 1000, now change stake to £2.1

go through the sequence until you get back to my bets and you will have 2 unmatched bets

one of £2 and one of .1 ....quickly cancel the £2 bet...then when you go back to my bets

change the requested odds to the 750 that is on offer..... you now have £75 to 10p about Reading

winning the championship. Just make sure the £2 at 1000 is not laid before you can cancel it.

oh and good luck
