The title of the thread is 'McDermott targets automatic promotion'. Just what do you expect the manager of your team to say when he is lying sixth in the table only 6 points behind second palce?? Perhaps he should say that 'We're in a totally false position having only lost one game in the last nine, and that we will be very lucky to avoid relegation.' Or perhaps he should say that 'We just don't deserve to be in this league, given the shocking investment in players we have demonstrated recently. I mean, just think if we had bought another striker we may not have scored the seventh best goals total in the league, and if only we had bought another defender we wouldn't have the fifth best defence in the league. Taking these two things together we have only the third best Goal Difference in the league. We're doomed, I tells ya!!'.

Well of course, but my point was more that some of our supporters actually think we can make the top 2. Completely ignoring the fact that you need a decent team that can actually win games on a regular basis. But on here, nothing really surpirses me anymore.

WTF has happened to Burnley?! Genuinely thought they'd be in the mix. Really could do with them doing us a favour against Swansea.

Swans have Hull, Bunrley, Pompey, Ipswich & Millwall as next 5 games. Ouch that looks quite tough. Definitely points to be dropped there.

I see no reason as to why we cant beat Scunny, Derby, Cov & Sheff U. Quite fancy us to get 78 now. Reckon minimum 80 would be needed for auto though.

There's definite potential for Norwich & Swansea to drop points there. Reckon Cardiff have a shot at being 2nd come Wed morning. It's so friggin' tight!
