Ian Royal Burnley are going to play a huge part, they still have to play: Forest, Swansea, Leeds & Cardiff. As well as Leicester and Pompey.

And us beating Forest would be huge as well, as I'm sure many have said... that would give them a maximum finish of 78 points compared to our 84, with the worst recent form in the division and with a 6 point and 13 goal deficit to make up in 6 games.

Our main competitors for the play offs are all struggling in the form table too, highest being 8th (Leeds) and obviously lowest being Forest in 24th. Norwich and QPR are doing fine so it's very hard to see us overhauling either of them.

Barring a sudden and unexpected outbreak of guts in the footballing authorities resulting in a points deduction, of course.

Well pumped for saturday. If we can avoid defeat we will have a huge chance of getting a play-off spot. If we get all 3 points, who knows!? :D

If we beat Forest, I think we have a great chance of overtaking Norwich and getting auto.

I just do not think that they deserve it. I know they keep winning, I just do not like them is all. Would rather Swansea go up.

I do not have that whole Welsh bias thing you lot have though...

Run ins:

Leeds - Millwall (A), Derby (A), Watford (H), Reading (H), Palace (A), Burnley (H), QPR (A)
Reading - Forest (A), Scunthorpe (A), Leicester (H), Leeds (A), Sheff U (H), Coventry (A), Derby (H)
Forest - Reading (H), Burnley (H), Norwich (A), Leicester (H), Brizzle (A) Scunthorpe (H), Palace (A)
Millwall - Leeds (H), Brizzle (H), Coventry (A), Preston (H), Scunthorpe (A), Swansea (H), Barnsley (A)
Burnley - Leicester (A), Forest (A), Swansea (H), M'bro (H), Derby (A), Pompey (H), Leeds (A), Cardiff (H)

Next round of games is huge with Millwall vs Leeds and Forest vs Us. Wins for us and Millwall, or Forest and Millwall leaves things wide open still. Wins for us and Leeds puts a 6 point gap between 6th and 7th. Though Burnley would still have that pesky game in hand.

So for one game, and one game only, I shall be cheering on Leeds. They can then fall apart and get caught by someone else as we carry on the march up the league.

Exciting. And virtually all of the remaining games for those around the edges of the play offs are for teams still in with a shout at promotion at the moment, or in a relegation fight. Admittedly that's pretty much everyone except for Ipswich, Barnsley, M'bro & Coventry.

What a lot of people aren't picking up on is that one of the reasons Norwich lost yesterday was that Wes Hoolahan, the creative heartbeat of their team, was out injured.

He picked up a hamstring injury in the game against Scunthorpe and Norwich have refused to say since then how bad the strain is, there's been virtually a media blackout on it up here.

The club are desperate to keep it quiet to make the other teams in the top six think he could come back at any time, even to the extent of Lambert saying in public that Hoolahan may play against Swansea yesterday. In reality, Hoolahan didn't even make the bench.

The doomsayers up here believe Hoolahan could miss the run in. But he may be back for the play offs.

Why would Norwich be desperate to make the other teams in the top six think he could come back at any time? None of them have to play Norwich in the run in.

I think automatic is for Cardiff to take now. We will probably finish third. And then win the play offs :)
