Reading vs Leicester - match thread

by Niko » 15 Apr 2011 20:15

A bit early I know, but I noticed that this match has been listed on Myp2p.eu, which posts links to be able to watch matches online, so thought i might as well make this thread so more people would know earlier. Here is the link:

Being a featured game on the Football League Show, streams will be knocking around. Speaking of which, I'm currently watching Norwich v Forest and despite taking the lead and coming very close several times, Norwich are leading because they can't defend for shit.

Which is annoying as I can see Norwich winning all of their last 5 games... :(

Indeed, for those plastics the Leicester game is being shown live on Al Jazeera Sport +7, I think.

My Arabic is pretty crap but I think that's what they said in the half time chat of the Norwich v Forest game.

Forest poor tonight and Norwich worthy winners. Puts the pressure back on us so only a win will do against Leicester if we are to keep in contention for second place.

Ahh! I didn't know they were playing tonight. It was the expected result though, Forest's form is appalling! We have a good chance to keep the pressure on Norwich tomorrow, but if we don't win, so what? Just being in the play-offs will be an unexpected bonus.

Shame Norwich won, I think that makes our chance of reaching second pretty small.

Hi-ho. Here's to WNG!

Still think if we win all 5 we will go up second but it is such a big ask when so many things can go wrong in a game. I thought we might get a way with one draw but that is less likely now.

I really cannot see Norwich winning all 4. Swansea have a tough run in and that leaves Cardiff who need to lose one or draw two for us to catch them. They also have a couple of tough games. As you say all we can do is WNG.

forest was one of our better chances for norwich to slip up imo. But as long as we win all our games Norwich can only afford to draw one game. And that is pressure.

Norwich cannot even afford to draw one if we win all 5. They are only two points ahead if we beat Leicester and we have the better goal difference just.

Incorrect, Norwich are 5 points ahead of us, not 2.

Of course, I was forgetting Cardiff had pipped them into third by a point.

Ipswich away on Thursday was always the most likely place for them to drop points - dropping points at home to a Forest team in shocking form was always unlikely IMO.

Agree Ipswich is and was the best hope... but I would have put Forest as a better chance than Derby, Coventry and possibly even Pompey given they won their previous game. Thought it might give them a chance of making one last charge. Forest have looked pretty good in the games I've seen them in recently considering their form.
