Cardiff: ?
Norwich: ?
Swansea: Done
Leeds: Done
Forest: Done

Keep winning is all we ask... and wait with baited breath to see whether Norwich and Cardiff drop the points we need them to.

I did the BBC Predictor thingy and had us 2nd with one game to go. Plus, we would also be the ones to relegate the blunts.

Coventry have now won 3 in a row and will be playing with freedom by the time we meet them. People seem to think that if we beat Leeds on Friday it's plain sailing from there. Whilst it's the toughest, Coventry won't be easy whilst Derby got a point at QPR last night. Sheff Utd could be down by the time we play them; they could roll over if we get an early goal.

Or, could play with complete freedom knowing that their fate is sorted and give us a very tough game.

Remember Watford in the first season in the Premier League? They were down, came to our place and beat us.

Largely because of Ben Foster if I remember properly. It's true though, no easy games. The squad are more professional with things like this than me so hopefully they won't be underestimating them.

I think the only possibility of Norwich dropping points is at Ipswich on Thursday, with both Cardiff and Reading also having their toughest remaining game this weekend, I think we'll have a decent idea who will be second by Saturday PM.

I agree this weekend is killer. Realistically Ipswich have not lost in 6 games so you would hope they can manage at least a point. With Cardiff playing QPR Norwich may settle for that. My worry is that Cardiff beat QPR, who are seriously stumbling.

But Coventry needed those wins to be safe and Derby are still battling. For the last two games I'm pretty sure they'll be on their summer holidays. Sheff Utd is 3 games in, but they're going to be down already and their playing comically at the moment.

Of course Coventry and Derby may be difficult, but if we have just beaten Leeds to make it 9 in a row, I can't see them putting up too much resistance. We will also watch what might be Robbie Savages' last game in English football, so surely he'll get himself a red!

Playoff watch is interesting though, If we stay 4th we'll probably play Swansea who look certain to finish 4th or 5th. In many ways I would rather that that play Hull or Millwall if they grab 6th. That said, given the QPR issue, we want to finish top 3 for sure!

As I see it we want Burnley to win tonight to keep their season alive as they play Cardiff on the last day
This weekend we want QPR to win, Norwich to lose and us to win. Then it would be in our hands

17 41 -04 49 64 Max Coventry City
18 40 -07 49 64 Max Middlesbrough
19 41 -07 48 63 Max Derby County
20 41 -21 45 60 Max Doncaster
21 41 -22 43 58 Max Crystal Palace

22 41 -40 37 52 Max Scunthorpe
23 41 -23 36 51 Max Preston
24 41 -31 35 50 Max Sheffield Utd

Coventry and Boro are virtually safe. Scunthorpe need WWWWD to pass them (with Coventry losing all their games)

Even if Scunny won 4 x 3-0 and Coventry lost 4 x 3-0 Coventry's GD would be -16, Scunthorpe's -24

Coventry and Derby are both effectively safe although we still want them both to win away at Norwich.

I don't think Norwich will win away at Ipswich on Thursday. A win on Friday will probably put us 2nd for a day at least. Then it relies upon QPR beating Cardiff, which they may need to do if they want to seal promotion.

It us and QPR winning looks unlikely to me, but if it happens and we're 2nd at the end of the weekend, I'll be very confident that we can go on to get auto.

You might want to check that again considering that the table is actually:

16 Coventry 42 -3 52
17 Barnsley 42 -11 51
18 Middlesbrough 41 -7 50
19 Derby 42 -7 49
20 Doncaster 42 -23 45
21 Crystal Palace 42 -23 43
22 Scunthorpe 42 -39 40
23 Preston 42 -21 39
24 Sheff Utd 42 -33 35

Norwich to draw would also leave it in our hands as we have the superior GD.

24 42 -33 35 Max 47 Sheff Utd

So Coventry have to lose a 37 goals advantage in 4 games. I think they are safe!

Barnsley need a point, Boro 2 points from 4 games, Derby 3

Away from the statistics, taken from a Cardiff forum:

Bollocks
Reading's run in is a piece of piss (except for Leeds away), Sheff U (given up), Cov (crap team but now safe), Derby (crap but safe)

QPR = 91
Reading = 84
-------------
Norwich = 82
City = 81
Jacks = 80
Forest = 73
-----------
Hull = 73
Leeds = 70

Ah well, Forest in the play-off final it is then......i may be wrong tho, and City to win last 4 and be untouchable in 2nd....i don't think so, we have never done it the easy way

Cant believe I got Reading to finish 2nd. Us 3rd.

We'd play Forest & Jacks play Norwich.

Readings run in is not that difficult at all..

We've good records against Derby lately, and used to have a good record against Sheff U but they've bounced back a bit since Warnock left... (how about we sneak a cardboard cut out of him into their dug out to encourage our fans and players to up their game?) Coventry are a bit less good for us though I think...

So it ain't all plain sailing by any stretch.
