2 world wars, 1 world cup Good points, well put.
Although I didn't boo it's not *totally* unreasonable when you just watch your team get demolished at home after a 2-0 lead by the bottom of the table team FFS.
Especially when we know they're capable and proved this with two well worked goals but then seemed to just not bother as opposed to trying hard but jut not being good enough.
It can serve as an importnat message to the team that they could and should have done better, so I certainly won't look down on anyone who did even if my preference would be not to, after such a good run.
Thanks...
And your are absolutely right, they have been playing great football for an extended period of time. Doing all the little things, and big ones like going up for headers and challenging people, right. And I can see how some would be urging us to cut them some slack. I understand losing a game to a better team on any given day, that happens. But being up 2-0 against a struggling team then "switching off" assuming they had 3 points in the books is no way to play the game. Maximum effort for the full 90+ minutes isn't an option...it is a requirement. On that point I will give no quarter.
I am really looking forward to the next game. I am 99.9% sure not playing the game properly will not be a problem on Saturday...win, lose or draw. And of course hopefully a win.
