Elmer Park Two Berkshire Clubs are in Zameretto League Play Off semi-final action on Thursday although both are away. Slough travel to Hitchin in the Central Division and Thatcham are at Sholing in the South and West Division. .

Hitchin got a remarkable crowd (for that level) of 1508 for their title decider v Arlesey.

When are the 2nd leg and final matches? (or is there no 2nd leg, just a final?)

These are just one off games and the final played at the club that finished higher.

... and unfortunately both lost on Thursday evening; Slough 1-4 and Thatcham 0-2

All three divisional FINALS are on B/H Monday - not sure of KO times presumably 15:00h - but might worth checking if anyone wishes to go:-

SOUTHP Play-Off Final
Hednesford Town v Salisbury City
SOUTH1C Play-Off Final
Hitchin Town v Daventry Town
SOUTH1S&W Play-Off Final
Sholing v Frome Town

...as far as I can tell there aren't that many games around here above STEP6 on BH Monday - just a few fairly low level (County & League) Cup Finals - I'll (probably) update this post with tomorrow's (Sat 30th) 'local' NL matches later on - but even then there aren't that many still left to play.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like wot I wrote - not many 'local' NL games on this Sat:
CONFS
Bishop's Stortford v Dorchester
Boreham Wood v Lewes
Bromley v Eastleigh
Chelmsford v Hampton & Richmond
Ebbsfleet United v Woking
Farnborough v Thurrock
Hampton & Richmond v Chelmsford
Havant and W v Staines Town
Maidenhead Utd v Dartford - Magpies need a pt for certain safety since they might not wish to rely upon 'boro to avoid defeat vs Thurrock. :?
Welling v Basingstoke
Weston-S-Mare v Braintree Town
ISTH1S
Fleet Town v Eastbourne Town
Sittingbourne v Godalming Town
COCOP
Bookham v Guildford City - City champs unless they contrive to lose 0-11 to the bottom side. Rumours abound they have been refused grading for SL football @ a very late stage - something to do with no turnstiles I think? Would mean 2nd placed Chertsey could be promoted in their place - all down to a Pyramid-wide 'Points Per Game' Index - used when there are more eligible teams for promotion than places available @ STEP04 - though elsewhere Whitley Bay have (reportedly) been similarly refused at the 11th hour after previously being told they were OK. I also think there's a couple of other teams at STEP04, as well as existing STEP05 clubs, facing enforced demotion due to ground issues - will need to 'dig about' and find the names again - I know locally Wootton Bassett Town were one of those mentioned.
Chessington & Hook United v Croydon
Colliers Wood United v Wembley
Cove v Camberley Town
Egham Town v Badshot Lea
Mole Valley SCR v Molesey
Raynes Park Vale v Banstead Athletic
Sandhurst Town v Horley Town
COCO1
CB Hounslow United v Eversley
Chobham v Farleigh Rovers
Farnborough North End v Westfield - not sure where this is being played but if its switched to Westfield, I've been told they've just had their clubhouse demolished - so not sure what facilities remain? :?
Sheerwater v Warlingham
South Park v Hartley Wintney - got a vague idea its free entry on Sat - South Park is south of Redhill
Worcester Park v Feltham
(at Sutton United FC)
HELLP
Reading Town v Pegasus Juniors - was some doubt that this game was going ahead as Peggy Jrs are due to leave the Hellenic - but there have been some 'softer' views re their future made public this week - seems they have applied to join the WMRL but are keeping their options open by suggesting if they are unsuccessful, that they would take their place in a (possibly expanded) Hellenic One West.
Not sure where that leaves the Eastern section which could be seriously down on entrants for 11-12 Season.
WESS1
Fleet Spurs v AFC Portchester
Chester City (remember them?) gain promotion from the Evostick Div1 to the Prem by a mere two goals difference over Skelmersdale today.
Interestingly, Chester lost 2-1 today, whilst Skem won 7-2....
Delighted for Chester - had over 3,000 for their last home game and scraped through in the end.
Skelmersdale's opponents have conceded 127 goals already this season so goals were always on the cards but no-one expected a Chester defeat.
yep, the NLP Div1 has been blessed in recent years with at least one home game £golden egg day by well supported teams
FCUofM
Halifax
Chester
guess next season (and the lack of an AFC "big team") is the end of that financial lifeline for a lot of them
The Berks & Bucks Senior Cup Final is being played on Monday between Wycombe Wanderers and Maidenhead United. The venue is Chesham United's ground. This is a change to the original venue which is still being quoted on some sites. Kick Off at Chesham is 3.00 p.m.
I've got two big games to go to this weekend along the North Wales coast!
First off this afternoon I will be going to Farrar Road to see if Bangor City can win the Welsh Premier for the first time in 16 years. They have to beat full timers TNS in a championship showdown match; TNS are one point ahead of Bangor before the game so a draw for the Citizens in not enough. Should make for a big (1,800ish) crowd and a cracking atmosphere.
Monday just down the road from me will be the Unibond Premier play off final - Colwyn Bay v FCUM. Sell out all ticket crowd of 2,500 expected. Apparently Bay's ticket office has had requests for 150 tickets at a time from "Bay fans" with Manc accents!! Got to queue up for my ticket this morning. Colwyn Bay looking to reach Blue Square North for the first time which is arguably the highest level they have played in their history, having played in the old Northern Premier in the past. For those with memories of playing Tranmere, Bay are managed by Dave "Lord Long Throw" Challiner who despite being a bit of a clogging defender has assembled a top class footballing side and will be destined for a football league manager's job soon.
Two of the bigger North Wales clubs who took very different routes after the formation of the League of Wales in the early 90s both on the up.
AthleticoSpizz thought that Bangor won the title back in the Fashunu days
Fashanu was at Barry Town, not Bangor, and was a complete disaster.
Salisbury promoted from the Southern Premier, winning the play off final on penalties at Hednesford
Colwyn Bay promoted from the Northern League, beating FC United 1 0.
Top weekend!
First Bangor win 1-0 in front of 1,707 to clinch the Welsh Premier from under TNS's nose. Great atmosphere and pitch invasion as City win the title for the first time since 1995. Part-timers with team spirit 1 - Full time bank rolled professionals 0.
This afternoon I saw Colwyn Bay beat FCUM 1-0 to clinch back to back promotions...Evo Stick Div 1 to Blue Square North. 2,200 capacity crowd split 50/50 with disenfranchised former MUFC fans with a further 300 FCUM fans watching on from a grass bank letting off flares and generally getting behind their team. Hats off to FCUM; I'm sure their time will come and they will go straight up next year anyway, they can't fail with backing like that. Promotion justifies "the Bay" not switching the match to Wrexham's Racecourse ground to cash in on FCUM's supporter base and sacrificing home advantage for the ££ in the process.
So they won't be dancing in the streets of TNS tonight?
Well Jeff they wouldn't have been on Saturday but may be tonight after they won the Welsh League Cup final after extra-time earlier today.
The 80 or so TNS fans who came to the Bangor game got to see what money can't buy. A well supported "proper" football club with its roots firmly in the local community, a proud history and a loud, passionate partizan crowd.
They scuttled off back to their village with their full time superstars, and ground at a sports centre complete with plastic pitch. Together with two former Bangor players who left for TNS for the ££ including Chris Sharp, Graeme Sharp's son.
Went and saw Salisbury City get promoted yesterday. Came back twice from behind to win on penaltys. Scored a 25 yard screamer to make it 2-2.
Got to feel a bit for Bognor Regis Town of the Ryman Div1
Their 4 to 500 (average) fans lost out on the championship by last day GD to Met Police (who had only 66 turned up to watch them lift the silverware).
Bognor lost out to Dulwich Hamlet in the play off finals, a team that finished a mere 31 points behind them (nearer to relgation than to Bognor).
meantime its Farnboro' v Ebbsfleet in the BS South and Telford v Guisley in the North, finals
Coalville Town 2 Whitley Bay 3 in front of nearly a "far from home" 9000 at Wembley today in the FA Vase Final....why no pay on the door?
