under the tin
prostak How about Brynjar's two performances against Premier League opposition this season? Nobody's claiming he can play like that every week, but even on Saturday he was very good in the 10 minutes he got. He managed to assist with a tackle ffs. Give him a coaching position if necessary, but I'd be very disappointed to see him leave when he clearly still has something to give.

Plus, we can't really afford to lose another good looking player; we're in danger of becoming the ugliest team in the league.

I fully agree with that, bar the last sentence.

Coaching position I agree. Playing I do not. As I said If we get to the Prem we need experience but someone who is Good enough to play against prem opposition more than a few games a season. Brynar has been fantastic for us but he's detoriating somewhat and yes I do know he got a fortuitous assist against lowly Derby.

brendywendy looked a good player every time i saw him, but siggurdsons meteoric rise rather spoiled his progression through the levels here.
hope he does well wherever he goes. hes a really decent prospect for a league 1 or new championship side imo

Sigurdsson's meteroic rise had nothing to do with Scott Davies progression through the levels at Reading. The only thing that stopped Davies from breaking in to our team was the fact that he simply wasn't good enough.

If he was good enough, he would have made it.

Aah Gylfi - I still miss him. I notice he scored the winning goal at the weekend.

10th goal of the season from 29 starts, making him hoffenheims topscorer. I reckon a big summer move beckons

What sort of per-cent sell-on are we on if he goes, say to Arsenal or Man U?

Doesn't seem to have been publicised except for the fact that there definitely was a sell-on clause inserted.

What a fantastic deal Hammond did on that transfer!

Brian McDermott “Nick Hammond did a great deal when he left.

“We’ll get more money when he eventually goes to Real Madrid or wherever, because he will definitely end up with a top European side."

If we stay down I fully agree in giving Boris another year if he'll take it. I would have thought though that he wants to be starting games as his career comes to a close.

Re: Davies and Kelly. No loss is it really? Wish them all the luck and all that but they weren't pushing the first team here so it's best they move on.

None of them, but I was ironically suggesting Hammond is rubbish, in classic HNA mode

I got the irony - hence the question of NH or GS rather than all of the listed.

NH has got a lot of stick on here in the past, despite Steve Coppell singing his praises on countless occasions.

He's still got a ridiculously squeaky voice though

I'd love to see the buy-sell profits on RFC players.

It must be impressive

Do players who retire due to ill health not get an insurance payout offset against their transfer fee?

(not suggesting you'd ever know what this was, it's a general question)
