FiNeRaIn People don't seem to get it, performances don't matter, results do. Our record is 0/4 in play-offs and IMO we've more or less dominated every single game out of those 8, tonight was no different. We were the better side but once again failed to get the result. End product home draw, cardiff now favourites.

No you don't get it.
We are, in the play offs. We have a one off game with trip to Wembley as the prize.
Achieved by a team put together at a fraction of the cost of the likes of Cardiff.
Nobody expected us to be where we are.

Our performance was not the best but they tried.
As long as they put an effort in as they did last night, whatever happens Tuesday and thereon, I shall be content.
We are due some luck against that lot and I am extremely optimistic about Tuesday.
The pressures on them to perform, not us.

Manset Was poor tonight but he is raw and we didn't buy him for what he could do this season. He has the potential to be a big player for us in the coming seasons.

Also have a feeling he will score a 30 yard screamer before the play-offs are over.

Neither keepers had anything to do, but when WE were defending, leaving Shane Long up field, Cardiff had 3 defenders with him. I think that showed what they came for. And got. They didn't want to lose and they didn't. We, the home team pressed and took the game to them, but didn't have enough in front of goal, last night, to score. THEY'LL have to play more attacking footy on Tuesday and if JK is fit, he'll scare the life out of the Cardiff back line, thus creating space for Jem, Howard or Jobi to do a job. I can't wait for Tuesday.

Jackson Corner I thought we bossed the midfield ledge and Kara had great games.

I thought we lost midfield and Ledge had a poor game :| The addition of Emmanuel Thomas and Olofinjana has certainly improved their midfield.

Not too happy with Halsey falling for the pathetic antics of Bothroyd, diving and moaning at every opportunity, he seemed to want the first half to be all about him. Apparently a nudge with the shoulder is a free kick when it's Long, but an arm around Long's neck or some obvious shirt tugs are OK. 5 mins of added time when 5 mins were lost in the last 10

It's not over yet and I think we are really due to get some luck and cheating Cardiff get their comeuppance.

Watched the game on the box last night. We matched my expectations, thought it would be a draw and our Friday games haven't been much cop this season so 0-0 wasn't much of a surprise! Zurab and Karacan were both excellent but my MOTM was Leigertwood who was absolutely immense. Manset was poor but he was no worse than Hunt who is fast becoming the Rasiak of the current squad, a goalscorer but nothing else. Sad to see.

Much will depend on whether Bellamy is fit on Tuesday, he was a big loss for them when he went off last night. But i've thought all along that the tie could go to extra-time, and if it does i'd fancy our chances. On the evidence of last night we are the fitter team. Hopefully Kebe will be fit, but having been out for a few weeks think he's likely to be on the bench unless Robson-Kanu is out. Looking forward to it, should be a better game.

Not doubting his contribution in games I haven't seen but Mikele L looks rather ponderous to me. Not convinced on what I have seen of him at all.

Edit: MOTM? We watched different games then!

Clearly!

Must admit there were times last night when he reminded me of Cisse and almost lost the ball, but he got away with it. Just won loads of challenges, good passing too, and this is coming from someone who didn't rate him when he made his debut!

He has a great ability to tackle and win the ball, even if the opposition fall over like they've been shot as a result.

I find it astounding that anyone could have negativity about any of our players on last night's performance. You have to remember we're not Man Utd - but each player played their hearts out and that's all you ask for in a match such as last nights. Cardiff are in disarray. Their home fans will be on their backs if they play like they did last night - all power to us.

Ha! You know what, I was trying to think who he reminded me of and it wouldn't come - but yes, it's Cisse. (Jeez, getting old, he's only been gone 5 minutes!)

Speaking of negativity RL, Manset looked even less like a footballer than Kebe did in his first year or so... We REALLY need Snowball to get to work on him!

Kebe must play even at 75% fit. No point nursing his injuries now, it's sh*t or bust time. As said before, the pressure is all on them now!!!!

under the tin can't trap a bag of cement.

Thank you for using my favourite footy cliche. 'Couldn't trap a bag of cement' is so much nicer than 'touch of a rapist'!

As for this thread - utter bollocks! They've done us proud regardless of what happens on Tuesday (and hopefully Bank Holiday Monday). I've really enjoyed this season as I have pretty much every season since the Burns era. Would rather support us than the likes of QPR and Cardiff regardless of whether we go up or not.

I think that was always the plan - if he is able to play any part he will. I get the feeling he could have started last night but definitely couldn't handle 2 games in 3 days so they left him out for the 2nd leg where the way we will set up and Cardiff will play will suit him.

Apparently BBC Wales are reporting Bellamy is out of the play-offs and would not make the final either if they get through.

...was disappointed with McAnuff ...for a player with his experience, he showed little enthusiasm for the harder graft as others like Karacan were showing, flitted in and out and only showed any real fight towards latter end of match....

Thought defence was very good apart from kish's distribution, with both full backs also doing a good shift on the wings....

Centre midfield was a battlefield but both Kara nd Liegertwood did their jobs well.....

Hunt didnt do a lot ,HRK showed more investiveness than McAnuff and Long did his usual 100% shift...

I expect it will be 5 across the middle on Tuesday with Howard in for Hunt and Kebe back in if fit ...at this time, id rather have him in for McAnuff but it will no doubt be for HRK

Bothroyd obv learnt his art for cheating and diving in Italy.....Hopefully Webb will deal with it better than Halsey did last night...an early booking for it on Tuesday would help !

I think we have a great chance if Kebe is fit.

They have to push on and that will suit our game.

We've only lost once away this year as well and that was when we had 10 men and in injury time.
