Farnborough were 0-3 down with 4 minutes left. Pulled in back to 2-3, then let in a 4th deep in added time.

3365 there, only a couple of hundred short of the ground record. Bit of a nightmare in the home stands though, as it's all unallocated seating, and those getting there late struggled to find anywhere to sit. Most had gone home before the last 3 goals went in.

Absolutely gutted about the Farnborough result but in truth Ebbsfleet deserved to win today. Boro didn't even turn up until the 85th minute

For anyone interested, the newly formed Windsor FC should find out on 20 May which level they will be playing.

Hellenic Rules have been changed to allow more than 22 teams in Premiere Division...

Draft Hellenic constitutions DOES NOT appear to include Windsor.

.... A couple of late demotions from Prem: Old Woodstock & Wootton Basset reprieves for Fairford & Shrivenham

- 4 new teams from County Level applied :

Highmoor/IBIS, Wallingford, Brimscomb & Thrupp and New College (Sw!nedon)

Up to Prem go Bicester, Cheltenham Saracens; Holyport & Henley
... All subject to further grading inspections.

... and like I said these are initial draft line-ups.

Both Step6 leagues are aiming for 18 clubs - so they'll need to draft in a few Reserves sides. :?

Isn't it down the The FA's Competitions Committee (or some such name) - they sit and decide the appropriate entry league for any new clubs.

Correct. New clubs don't apply - they get placed by the FA.

Royal Rother Correct. New clubs don't apply - they get placed by the FA.

But "continuations" of previous clubs don't. There are some technical niceties that apply to define the difference between them.

..... Reports from the Hellenic SGM are that there was no application received from Windsor to join the league.

Presumably they either may be applying at a later date or they've thrown their lots @ the CCL?

But you don't apply - the FA place you. Have you skipped some words in previous posts or something??

I don't think this can be seen in any way as a continuation. The old club is gone, the old guard have gone.

... Not skipped ; not seen .... I'm typing on an iPod and it's bleedin' difficult to keep up when posts are as 'machine-gun' as they've been on this thread.

.... What if I change 'applying later' to 'placed later'?

I see from todays evening post that Reading Town have announced their new management team as Mark Bartley and Marcus Richardson in roles as joint player-managers with the two coaches from last season also remaining at the club.

It was also reported they have entered a reserve team in the new Hellenic 2 East.

FoC - Any ideas why the two clubs you mentioned were late demotions from Hellenic Premier?

Old Woodstock has requested a voluntary demotion as they have left their ground share at North Leigh. Carterton are relegated having exercised their option under CR 13.7. The final relegation position is, at this time occupied by Wootton Bassett Town, however, it is understood that an appeal has been lodged with the FA with regard to the club’s demotion.

...what he said above!

WBT have appealed - not sure when it gets decided - presumably at an AGM in the near future.

Elsewhere - a few new 'applications' to the CCL including some non-lit ones  [Spelthorne, Old Farnborians] which somewhat goes against the grain of what the FA expect (demand) of their STEP06 constitutions.

Farnborough North End are teetering somewhat w/o a ground - investigating if they can be allowed to continue whilst groundsharing with Farnborough Reserves - who are rumoured to be changing their name back to Bisley - which is where they play - without lights. :?

Local NL is all but finished now - a few possible dribs/drabs scheduled in the North Berks on the 21st (and 28th  )- but there's always a danger these fixtures might not get played - if there's actually nowt to play for - last w/e's fixtures were rife with late call offs particularly below Div One.

Am looking at Bampton v East Hendred but looks dodgy - as well as being quite a way NW - will probably set off and end up revisiting Harwell Village (vs Lambourn) or Ardington for (Diddy Cas v Saxton)

Windsor FC confirmed as starting in the Combined Counties Premier Division.

I'm liking that - lots of local derbies rather than the travel associated with the Hellenic.
