In the end very comfortable. Matt mills my MoTM just ahead of Shane Long who was also outstanding.
Time to change my plans for the 30th.

greed

Mills was brilliant first half when it was tight
All the megastars played well - Jobi, Shane, Mills, Leigertwood - but Cummings did as well.

Handsome Man. Quite right about Jobi. Lovely goal and he played really well.
Cummings also did very well and is going to be a star for us.
Who would have believed it. One game away from the Premiership and its Brendan Rodgers team in the way. Incredible.

That - I think - was the result of the season in the Championship. Listening to 5 Live before the game it was all about Cardiff and Bellamy. Reading were barely mentioned. We were meant to turn up and dutifully take our defeat and leave the stage to the 'big' club, with teh their big players.

Well sorry - that was a stuffing.

They'll fear no one now. Swansea are a good side, but who would back against our team now?

Totally humiliated Cardiff tonight; could - should - have been 5-0.

Every player was magnificent; fantastic performances all over the park. Wasn't going to single anyone out - but I will; Shaun Cummings. Comes in having barely played, plays out of position and was brilliant.

Swansea will be a bit worried after wacthing that tonight.

Bring it on.

When is the last time the Royals have been in this spot to go up? I know they won the division and were automatically promoted in 05-06, but they haven't fared well in their other promotion playoff attempts from what I remember.

Best of luck against Swansea.

Haven't Cardiff mortgaged themselves to the hilt in their efforts to reach the 'promised land'?

Agreed on both those - Jobi was a constant threat in the second half and worked hard as always.

Credit to Cummings, he was solid and occasionally creative, a really good performance given that it was out of position. Fantastic that McDermott can call upon squad players for big occasions and they deliver for him.

Great conspiracy text on the BBC live commentary "did the FA want to avoid a Swansea - Cardiff final?"

Bless.
