Reading 4-3 Plymouth Argyle in 1986. 3-1 down with 9 minutes left wasn't it? Time enough for three goals and a sending off...

And we still all love Kevin Bremner.

Yup 3-0 down with 25mins to play when Branfoot makes the best substitution of his career!

Doesn't sound like a classic, going by the generally accepted definition. Perhaps you could explain your thoughts on this suggestion.

Bury were winning but as it was abandoned the result couldn't stand. We won in the rearranged game. I'd say that was classic!

It's classic to me because of the hundreds of matches I attended this one sticks in the mind. It's not often a game is called off these days, and it's the only one I've been to where it was.

A classic moment is about more than a victory in a cup semi final - it's the smaller moments that make up the bulk of memories to me - but some still very notable in their own way.

Anyway - it's classic to me. Hadn't planned to open it up to deb8, just telling you where I stand.

Quinn scoring winner late in home game v Plymouth early 93/94 season 3-2(?)
Fat Plymouth fan running on pitch at away game in same season then falling over as he reached the away end! Lost 3-1
5-0 demolition of Derby to secure title then on the pitch
6-0 v West Ham
Cureton's goal v Bristol Rovers to win 1-0 then cupping ears to Rovers support
Cureton's equaliser v Brentford **
Rougier 2 goals in last 10 v o*ford to win 4-3
Beating o*ford two consecutive seasons away in league cup

**Brentford matey on pitch on crutches giving it the large one then evading capture from the met during the end of match pitch invasion match**

Made even more memorable by the fact that one of the bigger boys calmly opened the gate as he was being led away and punched him in the face while he was being held in a star shape by the police.

I've seen the FA Cup 1-1 with Man Utd mentioned, but I think the replay was more of a classic...

Going 3-0 down in the first 6 minutes... then 24,000 fans getting behind the team to attempt a seemingly impossible comeback... we pull it back to 3-2, and I still remember "that shot" from Gunnarsson which smashed against the bar in stoppage time with Van Der Sarr well beaten. A fantastic effort of coming back from the dead to try and get a result against the best team in the world at that time.

I would have to say Deadno biting Ingimarsson's arm at Valley Parade, the explosion of self-righteousness had to be heard to be believed
