Club wembley

by tilehurstender » 18 May 2011 21:07

Can't see any reference to the dress code should you decide to buy cat 2 tickets and get club wembley seats. You are not allowed to wear any colours and as far as I know the whole of that tier is not segregated. My mate has a 10 year debenture for Club Wembley seats but the play offs are not included in the deal. However he was asked if he wanted to buy these seats but the deadline passed before last nights game?????

My point is that some of these seats could already have been purchased by Swansea fans with a bit of cash!!!!!

I've been in 'em to an England match. Dress code was no different, than rest of stadium. Same over-priced grub, and same long Q's for the bogs.... but did get a free programme and some marketing freebies

I think the dress code only applies when it's "proper" club wembley, not when it's been handed over to normal fans to use.

I went to Oxford v York last year there (York end, obviously) and it was just like any other section of the ground.

The only benefit is you get a good view. Not too far away like the upper tier, nor too low down, like the lower. The concourse didn't really seem much different to the rest of the ground. A little more space perhaps, but the posher bars etc were all shut.

It's also rather vague pointing you to the club wembley site that says it includes hospitality food and drinks. These ticket prices don't , you just set to sit in allegedly better seats.

You can't buy a £98 ticket, they're not on sale to Joe Public.

Corporates get first refusal - with potential hospitality packages. After that unsold ones will be available to anyone - without hospitality packages

The webchat said yesterday there wouldn't be any Cat 1 going on public sale and that they'd kept back some Cat2 for the overflow corporates.

I've been in club Wembley in shorts & t-shirt, no dress code.

Only dress code if you're in the FA Lounge or Royal Box.

No dress code, just better seats and nicer food/drink areas.

Only blocks 240-245 of our allocation have to share "members area" with opposition fans.

Reading fans are being sold tickets for club wembley in the reading end and swansea fans at the swansea end.

Category 2 - 9,277 tickets, 3,691 of which (those on level 2, blocks 232-245) are located in Club
Wembley

Our supporters in Club Wembley blocks 240-244 share an entrance and a members area with Club
Wembley supporters from the opposing club

The bit i don't get though is why blocks 240-245 share an entrance and a members area with swansea, when blocks 245-252 are clearly in the reading end, and surrounded by readings fans above and below. Why would swansea have tickets in the middle tier, behind our goal?

If you look at this map : http://www.wembleystadium.com/PDF/WS_Level-2_Map.pdf all of the area behind the atrium restaurant and Wembley Suite is unsegregated - so it's the "concourse" areas there that they're talking about, not the boxes themselves.

I say "concourse" - that area is pretty plush, with Champagne & Seafood Bar.

No Fixed Abode

I don;t think 245 - 252 go to swansea fans, that will be reserved for sponsers etc

OK yeah it's making sense now, i just couldn't work out why only some of our level 2 seats were shared facilities with swansea, but now i can see from that map that there are 3 entrances (1 reading in the west stand, 1 swansea in the east, and 1 shared bobby moore entrance.

Presumably though, you can't walk all the way round the whole stadium? There are dividers/walls at various points right? Or wrong? Just curious...
