Johan Elmander has always impressed me and Upson was the stuff of dreams when here before.

There is a lot of quality in that list that could go straight into a out first team! Hammond must be looking at that list!

Tails Cox would be the easiest decision if I were in charge of things - bit of experience now, occasionally scores and has an existing link with us.

Love to have Eider though.

cox is rubbish. never scored a hatfull anywhere, and has now been released after hardly playing.

spot on decision to let him go, madness to bring him back

imo

He scored the same number of goals for West Brom last season as Church did for us.

Upson has had a really poor season, I think he's been traumatised by Mesut Oezil. Wages are too high to gamble on him.

I'd like Kazenga Lua Lua, whether we go up or not! Looked quality in League 1 for Brighton.

Weird post. He's available on a bosman, just because you've retired doesn't mean you cant be signed on one.

roadrunner Blackpool

They haven't managed to re-sign any of their best players so it looks intentional that the whole squad were on championship contracts. They might be quids in even if they go down but putting a decent team together next season could be a problem.

Sorry to burst the bubble, it's a lovely list n all that, but can someone tell me the last time we signed someone on a Bosman, especially from the Premier League? Lists like this come out every year and we never do anything about it.

And for what it's worth, anyone who has proved themselves half-decent at Championship or League 1 who's on a free will be probably being sniffed around by Pompey....

"better than church" is no real basis for choosing a player imo
on this seasons evidence at least, though i get what you mean, he would indeed improve our bench options

Anichebe and Coleman both signed new contracts with Everton a while ago. Anichebe is woeful anyway.

I'd take a fit Hargreaves any day.

I get the feeling Upson is one we shouldn't go back for because we'd be disappointed.

Not a huge amount we could realistically get, that leaps out at me.
