Scott Sinclair and Borini if he's on top form.

...and Dobbie, the house-elf, looked magic in the last play-off game.

Dyer vs Harte on the huge pitch worries me. He had Harte in his pocket at the Mad Stad..... ran rings round him.

From the club's twitter:
"Wembley pitch: 115x75 yards. Madejski Stadium: 114.82x74.37yards. Liberty Stadium: 115x74yards. Any talk of the big Wembley pitch is wrong!"

BirminghamRoyal Scott Sinclair and Borini if he's on top form.

...Im wondering whether Borinis decision to snub Swansea in favour of Parma, may have any effect on the team dynamics ... Im sure BR will still select him for the game though...

Except that it's the same size as Swansea's as well, so no advantage for either of us.

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned their player of the season Nathan Dyer. Whislt he hasn't scored the goals Sinclair has his overall contribution is rated higher than that of Sinclair.

His performance at Forest in the first leg was superb, depsite his team being down to 10 men.

IMO there is very little to separate the sides, altho' Kebe is a big miss for us.

RFC are a much harder side to beat than Swansea. Borini is their edge and doesn't make the Actim.

Actim can't really separate the sides.

03 741 Reading Shane Long
11 608 Reading Ian Harte
34 530 Reading Jimmy Kebe
42 504 Reading Jobi McAnuff
78 432 Reading Matthew Mills
87 417 Reading Jem Karacan

6 RFC players v Swansea's 8, but Federici (55) would have been in the 50s/60s but for his long break. L-Wood's Reading FC form was Actim Top-Ten

40 average (for the 8 players)

12 601 Swansea Scott Sinclair
16 585 Swansea Dorus De Vries
20 577 Swansea Nathan Dyer
39 514 Swansea Ashley Williams
46 496 Swansea Angel Rangel
58 465 Swansea Mark Gower
67 458 Swansea Alan Tate
75 441 Swansea Darren Pratley

42 Average

Brendan Rodgers I think Wembley will be like a home game for us because of the size of the field

The wingers sinclair and dyer hold the key to us either being dismantled or them not performing and us sneaking a 1-0 win

It's Dobbie you need to worry about. If you can stop us from getting the ball to him in dangerous areas you'll go a long way to cutting down on our attacking options. If he can work some space for himself around the edge of the area he's got the quality to play in Sinclair, Dyer and Borini, or to take it on himself like he did against Forest. Cotterill played in that role at the start of the season, but missed a few penalties and then his confidence went. Our form dipped in November/December because we had nobody capable of playing that role, but since Dobbie's come in he's made a massive difference - our home results this year show that - one defeat, two draws, nine wins - six of them by three goals or more.

I do think that Ashley Williams is a super player - but although Swansea may have better players in some positions, we are much more of a "team" - working for each other.

The Swansea team is full of good individuals (as mentioned, Williams, Sinclair, Dyer, Dobbie, Borini plus I've always rated Pratley and Angel too) but their also a good team as well.

Without a doubt we're up against it defending against them because not only do they play good football but they've got bags of pace too. We're not best placed to defend against it really.

They should fear us as well mind. We're hear for a reason. We've consistently beaten teams and earned our place in the final, irrespective of how good I think some of our players are or how well we've actually played at times this season.

It'll be interesting to see how the game pans out and what McDermott decides to do to stop Swansea without blunting our attack too much.

On the pitch front, the old pitch was know as being big partly because it was so energy sapping (longer, lusher grass than most) and the showcase games like the Cup final were played in the hotter conditions which just emphasised it's size (being larger than most) and condition. It's a bit of a cliche really.

All of the above plus

Dorus De Vries

The latest in a long long of goalkeepers who never has a less than good game against us.
