We're doomed aren't we? Why are we bothering to turn up?

JackFish It's Dobbie you need to worry about. If you can stop us from getting the ball to him in dangerous areas you'll go a long way to cutting down on our attacking options. If he can work some space for himself around the edge of the area he's got the quality to play in Sinclair, Dyer and Borini, or to take it on himself like he did against Forest. Cotterill played in that role at the start of the season, but missed a few penalties and then his confidence went. Our form dipped in November/December because we had nobody capable of playing that role, but since Dobbie's come in he's made a massive difference - our home results this year show that - one defeat, two draws, nine wins - six of them by three goals or more.

and there it is. (Since Xmas)

H 1-0 Barnsley
H 1-0 Reading
H 3-0 Crystal Palace
H 0-1 Cardiff
H 3-0 Doncaster
H 3-0 Leeds
H 1-1 Watford
H 3-2 Nottm Forest
H 3-0 Norwich
H 1-1 Hull
H 4-1 Ipswich
H 4-0 Sheffield
H 3-1 Forest (PO)

30-7 (27-6 in the league season)

So SINCE XMAS, and AT HOME accounts for 21 goals of your 27 goal GD

And prior to Xmas you had a home GD of +9.... so it must be away from The Liberty that's the problem...

And, guess what? Away from Wales, Swansea ain't exactly Barcelona

Swansea City P23 GD -3 One 4-0 defeat, 3 defeats by 2 goals... 7 more one-goal defeats. 11 defeats away from Wales.

Wembley isn't in Wales.

I have always rated Darren Pratley; fantastic midfielder who would grace the Premiership, and should be in consideration for an England call up, or will be after Capello goes.

Apart from that their wide players will look - as everyone else does - to exploit Harte and Griffin's perceived weaknesses of pace.

Evidently the weakness is in our full backs pace, and that's where they shall be looking to attack. I would put Cummings in at RB simply as he as more pace, and certainly can handle himself. Our wingers have pace too though. McD will have a plan already!! Certainly the direct running of Sinclair and the movement of Borini for me will be their threat

Our away form has been very patchy over the season, and the results have tended to come in fits and starts.

We lost our opening four, then won five of the next six, before going on another bad run with three defeats in a row. Then we won three in a row again before losing the next four.

We've won nine away games, so we're not exactly rubbish away from home, but it's certainly been a bit feast or famine, with only three draws.

Swansea City P23 GD -3 One 4-0 defeat, 3 defeats by 2 goals... 7 more one-goal defeats. 11 defeats away from Wales.

3 defeats by 2 goals, all at the start of the season, Hull, Norwich and Forest in August and September. The QPR game was the 4-0, which was on boxing day and the last time we lost by more than one goal.

Of course, this doesn't matter very much since the game is at a neutral venue. I don't think us beating you twice in the regular season counts for anything either, since you've clearly improved a lot since those games - is it one defeat in 18 now? Whatever happens I can't see either team winning by more than one goal, and I don't think there's much between the sides at all. I do know that if we play as well as we can do, and did against Ipswich, Sheffield Utd, Millwall, Norwich and Leeds recently, then we've got a great chance.

I've read a few times that your worries are your fullbacks against the pace of Dyer and Sinclair, but equally Kebe will be much faster than Tate on our left. Taylor would have been much better equipped to deal with him but obviously can't play after his red card. Other than Kebe do you see McDermott sticking with the team that beat Cardiff? Maybe Robson-Kanu back in as well?

The beast?

Anyway, he'd then have to deal with Tatey, Monk and...

Ashley Williams

wolsey All of the above plus

Dorus De Vries

The latest in a long long of goalkeepers who never has a less than good game against us.

I just can't bring myself to think that anyone with a name like Doris could be remotely dangerous... maybe it hardened him when he was growing up or something.

Nothing like a bit of self-deprecation to lower your opponents guard.

I can't remember a game against us where I haven't at least thought "oxf*rd off keeper"

Pardon me, I was talking about the best-defence table from Statto.com, which ranks in terms of goals conceded, not losses
