Not posted for a long time, but sick of reading the negativity..be it genuine or attention seeking

I for one am looking forward to next season after yesterday.

Young, improving squad, Excellent motivated manager with the club at his heart, stronger for the experience of yesterday, talent waiting in the wings and a likely summer with a few interesting additions (I'm sure SuperMc has a few irons in the fire).

Bring on 2011/12.

I, for one, will enter next season with my usual vigour. My expectation is for a topsy turvy season where we are pushing for the top by the end and where we have a mix of great, average and sub-standard games to watch. I also expect to read comments on here to the effect that this is the end and that we are doomed and for me to laugh out loud at such knee jerk stuff.

All in all, it will be a regular RFC season with a few new faces in the squad and a few old faces doing better than many anticipated.

Can't wait for the season to kick off!

We still have a football club to follow and after the FA cup run and this play off run, have a lot more money than we budgeted for.

Players will come and players will go - but it will still be Reading Football Club and win, lose or draw, we'll still all be following them every game.

Hopefully we don't lose too many players that we have had at the start of the last two seasons in getting the team to work together.
If we can start decently, and a few of the younger guys step up to the plate, then I think we can probably challenge for play-offs again, but you never know....

..problem with Reading is that all their transfer activity always has a bottom line of "undisclosed"...so when we sell players, we will never know how much, potentially, there is to spend on new players...is that Madejskis way of hiding it from the fans or HMRC...i wonder

Funnily enough yesterday turned out as I thought it might. (Not least Griffin's giveaway penalty being not unsimilar to the one at Sheffield United that cost 2 points).

Though the 2nd half spirit shown yesterday from the team. Shows that McD has no problem in motivating the players in the squad. The growing partnership between Legs and Jem is a core part of the team now. Something that's being lacking since the days of Sidwell \ Harper.

Hopefully with some new faces in the squad next season, will come an injection of pace. Something that on occasions is lacking.

What can't be bought. Is the experience of playing in games such as this.

Two years in the Premiership, two automatic promotions, two playoff finals, two playoff semi-finals, a Championship 7th and two ninths. Not a bad eleven years for Reading fans, and long may it continue.

All reasons to be cheerful about next season. Still valuable experience in the squad in Ingimarsson, Griffin, Gunnarsson, Harte, Legs, McAnuff, Howard & Hunt. All quite possibly here next season assuming we want them.

We'll need to have a couple scoring around 15+ next season and two or three hitting around 10+ to make up for probably not having a 20+ goal a season player. But then that's actually pretty normal for a team.

We didn't have a 20+ goal a season player after Gylfi was sold at the start of this season. By the end of the season it turned out that we did.
