No pain at all, but then after three play off finals now where we've been kicked in the teeth and/or had bugger all luck go for us my expectation was rather less than nothing anyway

Plus it helps that the Premiership is a load of over priced, over hyped drool dribbling down the face Sky sports presenters...

Like he'd know. At least it won't be costing Tredder any more money than it ever did before.

http://www.yourqpr.co.uk/pricing.php

So cheapest is £549 for a home fan to see 19 home games - approx £29 a game, yet cheapest away tickets are going to be £52. Nice one.

I guess the pain eased after this strange , little meeting:-

Was at Bracknell rubbish dump delivering some recycling (i live in Lower Earley. Visiting Mum) when a bin man said
"Saw you at Wembley (i had a t-shirt with a Royals badge on)"
"oh yeah, very funny I said"
"yeah, I saw you in the concourse"
"me?"
Yeah, I remember you. You have a distinctive face( )"
"Hhhmmmm......"
" Great game, but pity about the result" (I nearly hit him )"Didn't think it was a penalty"
"Stonewall I'm afraid Zurab stuck his leg in between Dyers" ( who made the most of it)

This carried on for a few minutes when I managed to drag myself away.
"See you at Wembley in 10 years time" I said

Strange......

Brenders, the list of comical goings on is endless, stretching from the owners, to the ticket pricing, to the turnaround of management, to the mafioso links, to the boutique bollox, to the Paladini/Faurlin debacle, to the etc.... Eldorado was never this good.

The small print of the deal probably says you need to change your name by deed poll to "J151" or whatever is appropriate.

Talking of pain, haven't been able to post this up to now, but here goes, share my pain.

On Tuesday, the day after, went into work and had the inquest with my business partner, an NCFC sth.

So we're all done on that and went for lunch in a pub in the centre of Norwich. By this time we had got onto the 'Let's all laugh at Man U' discussion and were talking about the champions league final.

As we're discussing how brilliant Messi is etc, a bloke dressed all in black on the next table chips into our discussion about Man U-Barcelona.

I'd say he was aged about 70, with his wife, perfectly respectable, wearing horn rimmed specs etc.

After a brief chat I say to him: 'Who do you support then.'

'Swansea City,' he says.

I put my head in my hands: 'Don't even go there, I'm a Reading fan.'

And this bloke says: 'Oh dear, how sad, never mind,' in a sarcastic manner.

I felt like whacking him on the spot but didn't because he was a fair bit older and with his wife and I'm not given to violent attacks. I just blurted out something like: 'Look, I'll give you that one but don't say anything else.'

However, on a day when I felt as if I had post traumatic stress disorder it was as if the Gods of football were trying to increase my pain.

Just to make you feel better Norrers, everyone's been really nice to me here. I got a call from HQ from a Brum fan to commiserate and compliment me on how we nearly came back. Similar from other colleagues in my office. Same from guy I bought lunch from in town yesterday.

I've had similar conversations with mates I've not seen for ages who are, respectively, fans of Spurs, Leeds, Sunderland and Fulham.

Had a good number of texts from Brum, Wolves, Everton and Spurs fans after the game...to a man they wanted Reading to win and one of them put money on us as well. I've been on hols this week and I'm glad really as I have felt flat since the game. Losing some of our best players is going to make it worse.

Had to join in....I work for the Club and was offered a free ticket but couldnt handle the trip with memories of the last 2 trips to Bolton and Walsall games still fresh in the mind, So I opted for a meal with the wife and son in a sports pub in my native Swinedon...Bad Move you may ask!! It was a risk but it felt worth taking, after 20 mins of the game my digesting steak nearly spewed up all over the table and hearing the "new" Swansea/Swindon fans at the other end of the bar rearing up every time they scored knowing that the "local" Reading Scout was enjoying the carnage was hard to take.

Add to that the "wife" telling me that "its only a game" and "maybe next year" was reducing me to a mess.

I informed the wife that we will stay for the first 10 mins of the 2nd half and if still the same then im off, Well what a treat when the Hunty/OG went in, I leapt up triumphantly punching the air staring down the bar, "game on" me thinks, When the Millsy goal went in I jumped up so quick I broke the back off the antique chair I was sitting in (Sorry landlord) This is the REAL Reading I shouted and when the Karacan shot hit the post I was doing a jig round the pub, Then, Well as usually happens in the Play-Offs we come back down to earth, I left that awful/horrible, never going in there again pub with the ringing sounds of "we are going up" by the Swansea/Swinedon fans....I hate the Play Offs and I hate that Pub
