Wycombe RoyalSchards#2Snowball You could, of course, drop irony, drop sarcasm,
drop fighting stances, drop factions, and try
to actually answer the questions.
For example, we might get as little as 750K from the PO Final, or as much as 4 Million. I really do not know.
Does anyone?
My understanding was that 50% of the play off final revenue goes to the clubs and, traditionally, the winners give their share to the losers. So if we take an average ticket price at, say £55, 55 X 86000 = 4.73m, divided by two = £2.36m
You failed to take into account all the costs of staging the match which are deducted before anything is divvied up. Also there was a lot of kids and OAPs in attendance at the playoff which will reduce the average ticket price a fair bit.

We also get 12.5% of gate receipts from the 4 semis, say £20 X 20,000 = £400,000, X 4, X 12.5% = £200,000
Plus TV Revenue and FA Cup TV and performance revenue

Schards#2 Given that the most adult seats were £64+ going up to £90 odd, an average of £55 to take account of concessions and running costs is probably on the optimistic side but it's only a guess.

Hoop Blah Dirk, to be fair to those posting above, I think they've pretty much got that bit now, it's more about how much value those percentage are worth to the club.
Basically the way I look at it is that the clubs done pretty well out of this season financially and we're now in a better position than we were last year.
The parachute payments might have gone but once we've lost the last of the former Premier League players our wage bill will be closer to where we want it to be as a top half Championship club.
Our budget from last season will probably have been showing a big positive figure as we won't have budgetted for £7m from Sigurdsson and all the money from the successes we've had on the pitch. How big that surpluss is doesn't worry me too much.

Schards#2 In the plus column should also be an unexpected spike in Shirt/Merchandise sales and higher than anticipated season ticket sales.

Forbury Lion How have the chairman's other business done over the season? - Like it or not, that could be the key question in determining how much cash the club need to raise.
Didn't he get shot of the Station Hill development?

Royal Lady I suspect a lot more people bought a season ticket prior to Monday, in the hope they'd get cheaper Prem football. Just a guess. Whereas when budgeting at the beginning of the season, they wouldn't have budgeted for a play off final or a sixth round of the FA cup either.
