The seeded teams in the North are likely to be:

Been that way for the last few years - hence why we've drawn Dag & Red, Burton & Torquay.

As ever, I'll be hoping we get Aldershot, Swindon or Oxford away but we'll probably end up with Charlton at home.

Also, I doubt Notts County will be in the "South" with Northampton in the "North"

From the list (with Northampton & Notts County swapped) any of the following away please:

Northampton
Yeovil Town
Bristol Rovers
Swindon Town
Wycombe Wanderers
Gillingham
Oxford United
Southend United
Aldershot Town
Cheltenham Town
Hereford United
Barnet
Crawley Town
AFC Wimbledon

Also not sure how Blackpool (now in the Championship) get a bye and Swansea (now in the Premier League) don't.

Think I'll wait for the FL to post the correct line up

It's all done on last season's league positions, that's why Swansea are in the first round and Blackpool are not . . .

Agree over the north/south teams, although the article did only say teams in the categories are likely to be. Strangely I remember Shrewsbury being in the southern section several times.

Wrong. It's done on last season's positions with promotion & relegation taken into consideration and with the teams in European Competitions getting a bye - those teams knocked out in the qualifying rounds get a bye to round 2, those in the competitions "proper" get a bye to round 3. PL teams not in Europe enter in round 2.

So, it'll be a case of:

Brum - bye to round 2 at least
Blackpool - no bye

My bad - trying to slip in a few posts outside of the lunch break

As in - we've been more likely to get a "local derby" since the draw was regionalised and seeded although as you point out - they're not that local (more "local" than Hartlepool I guess).

Maybe we'll get lucky this season (expecting Plymouth away now I've cursed it  )
