Rob-Royal brendywendy that was sidwells decision, not ours
that was litas decision, not ours.
the rest were because they failed to make it here, or were on wages too high so the equation was shifted, making it cost less to get shot.
the massive massive majority were for multi million pound profits, precisely because of the contracts, cluses, and relationship with the club
I know all that but you asked the question and you can dress it up all you like to justify the argument.....
At the end of the day we've gone from a club where we were competing to buy players to a club that now sells it's best talent. Players know this, agents know this and sadly we all know it....you can claim it's for the benefit of the club and it's long term future financially (and to a certain extent I can understand this) and you can also make it sound like it's to the benefit of the players too with the relationship with the club, but try telling that to the paying public if what they see on the pitch starts going t1ts up...
We've got to keep finding jems, nurturing talent in the academy and the production line needs to keep providing to sell on....is that a sustainable model to work to?
well the first two were never sold at all, so thats that up the swannee
and how much did cox cost us to buy again?
fair enough- i think its rubbish though. no one wanted our players before 05/06 at least not for an ammount that was worth it.
every clubs a selling club. even Man U had to give in to real for ronalo.
if wed have had million ound players before 05/06 theyd have been sold as soon as someone offered the million for them
