RobRoyal Hunt's goal on the last day of the season was a beaut. It's rather pathetic that RFC fans feel the need to mock him because he's a) a bit of a twunt and b) didn't want to be here in his final season.

I'm not great fan of the man for those reasons, but he's quite clearly an asset to any side in the bottom 3rd of the Premiership. Take the blinkers off.

Blinkers are off......and I dont agree...but this is what democracy is all about ..you think he's fab .....I think he's shite...end of :)

Shite! Bit strong. He's a below ave prem team squad member at worst. At best a below ave 1st team member

Moxey appears to be unpopular even in the sanctum of his fans ...

Hunt would never do what McAnuff did at Liverpool
or score a goal like the one McAnuff got at Cardiff

But I would rather have Hunt and Kebe than McAnuff and Kebe

(excluding the attitude problems, of course)

Saw in the paper yesterday that Wolves had a bit of £3.5 million turned down for Mills.

If we've rated him at £4 million and they're not playing ball (so to speak) then good on us for sticking to our guns. We don't NEED to sell him.

I do wonder whether the talk of his brother Joe coming here is because it will encourage Matt to stay (I still think that's why we signed Noel Hunt - because SHunt made noises he wanted away and we wanted to keep him a bit longer).

Equally I doubt we'll see McAnuff score a goal like this: http://youtu.be/asD3w0ppjF0

McAnuff's shooting is diabolical. I like him but he can't shoot and
either needs to learn (a bit late!) or hold the ball, drive on, or pass

Obviously my value of him falls short of the club's, but you're bang on. We don't need to sell, so we won't unless we get what we consider good money. Whilst I'd expect Mills to want to take a chance at the Premier League, I'm not sure Wolves are really a big enough draw for it to be worth him agitating to get away if they won't meet the value we've (presumably) agreed with him.

Matt & his brother started that themselves on Twitter by saying they'd like to play together and then Mills outright saying he wanted to play with him at Reading.

I would have Hunt in my squad along with Kebe and Jobi. He is imho more consistent than both of them. Which is why he plays in the Prem and the other two don't.

...none of them are premiership quality and that includes Shunt ...Bramble for example plays in Prem but no way is he prem standard, so Shunt should count himself lucky that by fair or foul he finds himself at a premier league club

stephen hunt is where he is today because he's a commited and battling player. he isn't the best crosser of the ball and he doesn't always beat his marker, but he will run and run all game every game, and he will snap and nibble at the opposition until the final blow of the whistle. is he premier league quality? no, i don't think so either. but is he an asset to a bottom third premiership team? absolutely he is, yes. you want a player of his ilk in your team; a battler, a fighter. he deserves to be where he is through that alone.

Always thought Convey was much the more skillful player, but that Hunt's determination and ego took him places his skill had no hope of achieving.

He's so confident when he's on form he'll always try to beat his man, and even when he doesn't really have the skill or pace to do it, because he goes for it and makes the defender work he'll get the rub of the green from bounces and ricochets enough to deliver something every now and then.

And he's great for harrying the opposition into mistakes and tiring them out.

Do you want to read that all through again and see what a fool you make your self look?

A player who has a few seasons on PL football under his belt and you judge him as 'not PL quality'. I think that says more about you than about the player in question.

so you think that every player in every Prem League team is prem league quality ????.........the fact that they play in the prem league doesnt necessarily mean that they are ....IMHO

Not a great piece of modelling then I am afraid.

I am pretty sure that I never said that an appearance in the PL makes you PL quality. 3 seasons worth suggests something though, doesn't it?

of which 80% of the most recent was on the treatment table ......as Ive said before I dont rate Hunt, you obviously do ....so its all personal opinion ...would you have him back at Reading? ...Im expecting a resounding Yes........

Exactly my opinion. What he lacks in flair and ability is made up by sheer hard work and determination which pretty much sums up what is wrong with English football. I remember a friend saying many years ago that Zidane would never be accepted in the English game because he would not run around a lot.
