Wycombe Royal Lee Bowyer to Ipswich and to be their new captain (not confirmed yet).
Good signing. Surprised West Ham let him slip away. He'd do at this level.

1327: Brighton are set to win the race for the signature of Peterborough United striker Craig Mackail-Smith, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire understands. The Seagulls appear to have beaten off competition from Leicester and West Ham for the 27-year-old.

Mr Angry That has to be the signing of the close season so far! Incredible!!
Posh agree fees for 2 Premiership sides, then Forest/Leicester/Iswich/West Ham all have a pop, and he ends up at.......Brighton?
Not being funny but I cannot believe that we couldn't have offered more in wages than BHAFC.

I imagine Posh fans are not happy with CMS now. He was always going to leave, but Brighton aren't miles ahead of Posh. It would be like Long moving to West Ham or Brum. Perhaps understandable, but he could do better.

cmonurz Hmm. I guess it's a step-up of sorts for him, but at 27 if he's had an offer from a Premier League side then his decision to go to Brighton smacks of someone quite happy in his comfort zone.

Friday's Legacy gael clichy signs for man city on a 4 year deal. good signing for city who just get stronger and stronger. i still feel they're two top strikers away from winning a premier league though. on the other hand players can't seem to wait to get away from arsenal. how long before wenger decides he too needs a fresh challenge? mourinho's replacement in waiting.

''I really believe if you are a player who thinks only about money then you could end up at Manchester City."
