Pleased with this. Good option as a back up to Kebe & McAnuff who will hopefully challenge them both a bit more this season.

Play him up front. That's what he wants and the boy has no9 written all over him.

He's looked poor to me whenever he's played up front in the first team. I'd rather have him cutting in from the wing.

Apologies to all HRK lovers, but think the guy is very over rated. His wing play is very one dimensional, most decent full backs have him in their pocket, usually has a good run early on and then fades out of the game.
Yes he scored 6 goals , but most were simples. Hoping to be proved wrong this new season but doubt it

Wow, that sounds a lot like McAnuff and Kebe too. The boy has potential and needs games. He has the tools, now he needs to improve and find consistancy.

so much strength, and pace, and some decent skill. scores goals.(more than mcanuff) better at crossing than kebe.
plenty potential for improvement.

You could be describing Kebe there.

But HRK's contributions speak volumes and his goals and assists record is very decent.

Well quite a lot actually, yes he's a big guy but doesn't use his strength enough and often just runs into defenders rather than using his skill, pace=average, better at crossing then kebe, i don't think so. Yes he has potential, lets hope he fulfills it

He's young, he's inexperienced, he's learning all the time and can only get better.

If you're only prepared to accept fully-finished players then I'm afraid you're supporting the wrong team here!

Well i've followed the Royals since the 70's via lots of good wingers and quite a few not so good, i realise he's young and inexperienced but he certainly isn't the future of Reading FC

I think you may get proved wrong personally, he's got the raw materials. He may not dazzle like Kebe or Mcanuff but his actual productivity has been comparable.

they sound like rubbish reasons.

hes strong- but doesnt use it "enough", then in the next breath talk about him bulldozing through people
pace everage? is that average of the whole of humanity? all footballers? all championship footballers? if the latter id say thats pretty decent.
not better at crossing than kebe. i love kebe more than life itself. but the guy cant get the ball off the ground.
ive seen more than enough to tell me that HRK will be a decent player.

apology still not accepted!

An impartial m9 of mine said Robson-Kanu was one of the worst players he's ever seen.. Granted he only saw him on the live tv games last year.

To get things in perspective, he is better than Meaker.

My mum was better than Meaker.
BTW I remember in the early days that he was with us there were fans that thought he was quite good.
