Hoop Blah He's still looking after number 1 and leaving the club with limited choices. Not that I think that's really wrong either.

Not at all. Sums up the feelings of many that he is a selfish, billy-big-spuds individual, mind you.

But the best defender at the club.

Tbh, I am not all that convinced he is really much better than Pearce. A little pacier, but he doesn't read the game as well as Pearce imo.

I think that currently he's better, but that's only because he's player more games.

IMHO Pearce has the potential to be a lot better than Mills ever could.

I wish someone would do something.. all this uninformed idle chatter. Is anyone actually doing anything at RFC?

Agreed Pearce is the better player as far as I am concerned.

Not sure I am that bothered about Mills going - just want us to get as much as possible for him. He is just one of those players who for some reason is hard to like.

Mills can prove inconsistent. However he has shown some terrific performances in a number of games at Leicester, Everton and Cardiff etc.

Some performances have been below par as well.

We'll only sign someone when someone leaves, otherwise it's as you were.

just dont want to see lardarse Moxey in press conference saying how they won the fee battle with Reading...(courtesy of Mills)...stick it out for the £4m and make Mills sweat if we have to ..Leicester have met the price so if Wolves want him...then do the same

.maybe Mills can come up with the shortfall if hes so desperate to join a team thats going to be one of the frontrunners to come down next season

..this is where Hammond can show the doubters ,admittedy including myself, that the club doesnt bend .....he will gain a lot of credibility if he holds out....but also as is the Reading way...fee will be undisclosed, so in reality we will never ever know ......

Well, Mills looks happy enough in his new Reading kit. Must have taken the photos before he declined the new contract.

Wimb
I see nothing wrong with a player who has given 2 loyal seasons of service to the club leaving for a Premier League team that will probably double his wages. Life in football is short and he has to do what's best for his career and his family.

2 loyal seasons of serivce? lmfao. Deary me.

no ones disloyal enough to leave in your first season
and surely its only baseline loyalty to stay one season past that

What was wrong with that, Rangers fan? Mills hasn't let anyone down since he's been here, he took a bit of a knock under Rodgers but proved his worth under McDermott. Just a shame about his hot head but he's a good player who has been very professional up to now about his future.

You don't have " two loyal seasons" when you sign a contract its expected you see it out. Loyalty is shown long term, not the short ass quote of two years. Get a grip.

And he has gone public as saying he wont demand a transfer!

He's been and is being loyal. It's actually in Reading's best interest to sell him with one season to go before he leaves on a free and is currently worth £3-4m, more than trebling what we paid for him 24 months ago.
