brendywendy my NH referred to hammond of course.
but impretty confident that howe wouldnt be employed by JM if he didnt contribute back at least his cost to the club in some way

brendywendy like he acted swiftly and decisively after pardew left
like he acted swiftly and decisively to ensure the money was available for rodgers to buy mills etc
like he acted swiftly and deceisively to sack rodgers when it became clear he had lost it.

I bet he regrets Rodgers!
You're obviously a fan but try & keep it real, he's also failed to act in many other cases too, not least lacking re-investment unless it's needed. How about when it isn't? Sidwell was the start and it carried on to relegation, fundemental mistakes.....two sides to every coin my friend

I knew you were referring to the DoF. I would still be interested in knowing just what Howe brings to the party though.

Reading777 Austerity measures over the last couple of seasons make sense in the current climate, yes there's also surplus capital come about from play-offs, cup runs, players retiring or leaving and unexpected inflation busting sell on fees.
The bit that doesn't stack up is should Mill's have stayed, weren't the club proposing to almost double his wages to 20k a week over 3 seasons or more simply put, increasing our expenditure by 1.5m over that period................
Instead the Mills transfer has turned an expenditure into a saving of 1.5m plus the initial transfer fee of 4/4.5m, therefore were up by nearly 6m. This surely invalidates the clubs statement that none of the transfer kitty from this particular sell will be used to buy new players, as they were increasing contracts before the fee come in, so whats changed over the past few days in terms of extra operating costs that doesn't make sense? Or was the new contract offer to Mills just spin to help the sell on fee?

I calculated that since we have been relegated and if this sale for mills goes through...we'll be around 37 million in player sales. That is more than the ENTIRE football league and half of the premierleague, yet we can't invest in the team because of these black hole's?
Club is going nowhere anytime soon i'm afraid. MASSIVE lack of ambition.

How dare you! The Madejski fan club will not appreciate you pointing out such massive holes in the club (and their) arguments. Holes so large that they make the claimed black holes in the club's finances look like pin holes by comparison.

yeah, but,no but, yeah but he called me an arse licker, and i was only calling him a twat cos he said that, and anyway chantelle said he felt her up round the back of aldi's etc....howser This is not a point of arguement from me more of an inquiry, we or I understand that the Mills £4.5m-£5m we are receiving will not be presentad to McD as pert of a transfer kitty, I also understand that this is based on operating costs and what we need to do to balance the books from last season,......but we must have picked up a lot of "unexpected income" from 2 x televised play-off matches, both with sell out gates plust the tv money for the final also the much mooted rumour that the play-off losers get all the Wembley gate money, that must have added up to a pretty substantial sum, in the region maybe of £3m-£3.5m ? But shouldn't this "surprise income" covered a large percentage of the expected "shortfall" for this forthcoming season. I stand to be corrected and called a prick, F*** wit or twat or any other descriptive adjective as is the like on this site, if my guess is wrong ?
