Franchise FC If I were looking to buy an asset the last thing I'd be doing is shouting that I've got oodles of cash. In fact, I'd plead poverty in order to ensure the seller didn't simply inflate the price of what I'm trying to buy because I had some dosh.
Apply that to the RFC model.
Royal Lady Well, McD didn't sound too happy in his BBCRB interview. I trust McD to the hilt and I don't believe that he is just saying he can't spend any of the Mills money - if .....................
........personally, I read into this that Mills had no intention of going initially, but something has happened to force his hand.

Royal Lady Yes, but did you hear McD? He sounded really pissed off and down. Either he's an excellent actor or he's telling the truth and he DOESN'T have any money from the sale of Mills.

PEARCEY Surely successful businesses invest in their staff?

See RR, you really aren't impartial on this anymore. You tend to disagree with anyone who disagrees with the club. The fact is we have made astronomically more than any other football league club in the last 3/4 years and yet we have invested absolute minimal amounts on the playing squad - especially compared to our rivals.
Why is it every other club can cope with todays financial climate without having to sell players for 7,6,5,4 million ,etc which is what we have been doing?
Yet we still cannot muster up money to spend on the team after making over 35 million in play sales since relegation?
I understand that every now and then you'll need to sell to a bigger club and that's when you use portions of that money for significant replacements, what you don't do is bank 90% of it and find some random from the lower leagues to replace a club captain, top goalscorer or previous player of the seasons, that's when you move backwards as a club and that's exactly what we are doing.

FiNeRaIn The fact is we have made astronomically more than any other football league club in the last 3/4 years and yet we have invested absolute minimal amounts on the playing squad - especially compared to our rivals. I mean its that black and white. Why is it every other club can cope with todays financial climate without having to sell players for 7,6,5,4 million ,etc which is what we have been doing. Yet we still cannot muster up money to spend on the team after making over 35 million in play sales since relegation? I mean its laughable you think people complaining about it are in the wrong, I put it on par with kim jong il followers in north korea....everyone else can see he's a c**t yet a lot of the people there have massive support and love for him. I honestly believe we could sell 30 million worth of players this summer...spend none of it on the team after the club claims there are some random black hole's somewhere and some of the posters on here would be perfectly happy with that because we aren't " doing a bradford" or because " I remember when we played in front of crowds of 5,000 in the old division two" -- get a fvcking grip. In order to progress as a club you need to keep your best players and invest in the playing staff.

Rob-Royal This model as I've said previously however is not sustainable and it runs with huge risk attached not least the real possibility of the mgr & his staff doing the same as the players amd moving on to forward their potential at some point.
I'm all for the long term future of the club and that's got to be the main objective but we're in a results based business and we all pay large sums of our disposable income to watch our team and like the chairman, expect a return on our investment too!
