Lets be realistic here, what do we have Matt Mills to thank for?????

Some good games, some dreadful games, ill discipline, and countless long balls.

Leicester have been completely ripped off, and im not sorry to see him go at all.

More or less agree, but in today's market he was probably 3-4 Million

Colin Cheeselog HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFF.

One of only two Reading players that I've ever particularly disliked. I'm confident that Leicester will realise how bad he is fairly quickly.

Who was the other one?

Lets thank Mills for 5m, I have a hunch the next time he moves to another club it will be for far less! :D

£4 Million is just a little under what they've initially paid for Mills (an extra £500,000 is nothing in today's game unless you're stupidly trying to treat football like other businesses). If Leicester go up, as they have a real chance of doing next year, Matt Mills will have proved he is worth that extra money.

this is all on the assumption that he gets selected. With the money Leicester have if he plays like he did for a lot of last season, a better centre back will be taking his place like a shot.

they could go up without matt mills proving anything at all.he might not get a game. would he still be worth it then.
what about if he was brilliant- proved he was worth 5 million, but they didnt go up. what about then

Yeah they've paid 4.5 Million for someone they have no intention of playing.

If they don't go up and he plays a blinder all season then the bank will get a percentage of the fee Leicester receive so he will still have proved he's worth the money.

Some Reading fans make me laugh. When Matt Mills scored the second goal in the play off final who at this point were calling him a tosser then? I think he was awesome, yeah he gave the ball away by hoooooooooooofing it, but then if he had tried to play it out of defence and lost it then people would have called for his head a lot quicker! Anyone who went away to Everton will know that behind the middle finger gesture he loves us fans. So to those who are calling him a money grabbing twat ^^ no wonder he wants out when some fans are behaving like you!

Hi Matt,

I mean this is the nicest possible way, I really do. Good on your day, but I would hate to see the price of Luke Chambers if you cost 5 mil.

Love Mike

Is that the game where we conceded FOUR goals, you mean, when the defence went missing
and we needed a captain to get a grip of the players?

We may not have been calling Mills a tosser when he scored, what was only, as it turned out,
a consolation goal, but what were we saying or thinking when we went 1-0 down, 2-0 down, 3-0 down
before half-time? Was Matt lavished with praise?

Matt Mills has only been here two seasons.

He has shown ambiton and used Reading as a stepping stone to a "bigger" club (if Leicester are indeed that)

As others have said he has had good games (mainly televised ones) and poor games. He has been nothing special and I doubt he will be long remembered here in all honesty.

In contrast Ingimarsson will go down as a club legend who served us well for 6-7 seasons and was a superb role model throughout. One Ingimarsson is worth seven Matt Mills.

I am sure I am not alone in really hoping Leicester fail this season. There would be nothing sweeter than RFC achieving promotion in the May 2012 play off final at Wembley ...........against Leicester.

Let's face it Sandman, you're outnumbered here. We've gained a lot of money, and lost a petulant big head who stuck his finger up at the whole crowd.

It's a wonder he stayed after that tbh.

The bank and Doncaster Rovers have gained a lot of money.

Mills merely did what the likes of Keith Jones, Andy Hughes, Brian Howard and Shane Long should have done when they were heckled by their own fans in the Southbank wannabe stand. Unprofessional maybe but more than understandable when you're being abused by the people who are supposed to support you.
