Losing 3-1 at Half Time, Obita scored our goal and was lively. Defence like they've never met, completely different side for the second half

TBH with these games I think we're just looking for one or two who could maybe break through.

Scored the second after good work from Taylor, who took control of the midfield in the second half where we couldn't in the first.

Taylor had a good half, Marcus Williams did well.

First half Obita and our number 8 looked lively, RB looked OK.

Morrison looked fairly ordinary, Brett Williams was anonymous

stand out performers were obita and taylor for me. marcus williams had a tidy game at left back. i was looking forward to seeing brett williams but he had a quiet game. not so much his fault, we didn't create much this afternoon. it was a good run out and everyone seemed to come through it unscathed which in all honesty is all you want from a friendly. silly ticket prices but it was good to see some football.

I didn't go but number 8 should've been Jacob Walcott.

These games are 90% about fitness and don't forget that the majority of the youngsters playing in the game will end up playing at this kind of level so the result isn't anything to get excited about.

It's also quite difficult for the supposedly senior or better players to look good in these games as it's difficult when the rest of the side might be below the standard required. It's also difficult for defenders in pre-season as you can't really defend flat out in these games. You'd still hope that Morrison, if he's going to be a Championship standard defender, would stand out a bit amongst this company though.

First Half:
Obita: looked very good. pacy and skillful
D'Ath: was okay, good passer.
Morrison: alright apart from on their third goal, looks strong but lacks pace.
Brett Williams: didn't have much of an impact

Second Half: Better team performance
Marcus Williams: tidy performance
Jack Mills: looked good in defence
Ethan Gage: put in some good tackles and passes in midfield
Ugwu: impressed, strong and powerful upfront but should have scored a second when through on goal he hit a weak shot at their keeper
Ryan Edwards: younger of the two brothers but was very impressive on the left wing, good running, skillful and put in some good crosses
Jake Taylor: like him but thought he blew a bit hot and cold today, played some good through balls

Enjoyed the afternoon, great to have football back (albeit preseason), definitely some talent in this "Developmental Squad" :)
