Hoop Blah A mix of this

SCIAG Yes, I forgive him for the finger as he apologised and it was fairly understandable.

I don't forgive him for his discipline, his attitude towards referees and his attitude towards team mates.

and this

bigmike He acted in a totally unprofessional manner and the petulant way he stomped off the pitch at the end sums him up.. No Class

Hes just immature and to be fair he will not grow up untill he retires and becomes a member of the real world

I couldn't really care less about the finger incident itself. I openly admit to having serious doubts about his character and the amount that will hold him back in the future though (as it did at Reading) and this little paddy fit from him just highlights his weaknesses.

Hopefully, knnowing the man's weaknesses should make it entertaining when we play against them. Who do we have who can wind him up to distraction? Noel Hunt?

Internet RFC fans - enough chips on shoulders to open a takeaway.

Never blamed him in the first place, so nothing to forgive.

Enough people on here accuse the club of never looking forward - there are those here who always look backwards in every sense of the phrase.

I'll forgive him showing the finger as at least it showed him up as the petulant brat he is. I am a bit less forgiving about his poor decision making, indiscipline and poor positional sense in 90% of the games he played for us. He won't go down as a favourite, that is for sure.

Have to agree on that one.

He also wins the contest for "most unsuitable personality to be team captain ever."

The fact that 41% of you don't forgive him speaks volumes.

I.e. it's good that he's gone.

Bit sad really if anyone holds a grudge against him. He was a nob doing it but he's a hotheaded twat on the pitch half the time anyway, that's what holds him back from being as good as he could be. I'm glad he's gone. The fact we raped Leicester for £5.5m is LOLaughable too. Great work by Hammond.

Good lord, yes. That's a trick to make him grow up a bit that failed miserably.

A classic moment that got the fans talking with Mills recovering the situation to lead the team.

Not sorry to see Mills go at all as RFC have done some very good business to secure the £5m deal.

Thinking back to this incident, was another case of Jobi showing what a legend he is when Mills does something stupid.

After that incident we scored ten minutes later (Sig mazy run along the line into the box, drew a foul, penalty, obv a Sig goal) to put us 1-0 up with 5 minutes to go and the whole team celebrated but Mills who hung around in our own half sulking. McAnuff ran half the length of the pitch to put his arm round him and include him in the celebrations.

Was a bizarre incident though, 0-0 against a team next to us in the table was hardly the situation where you do that. Fans were a bit agitated but with the whole team, not just Mills.

And Mills was obviously just following team orders - orders to ping the ball out to the left wing for Jobi/Kebe to run onto. So he was as frustrated as the supporters.

The agitation was that we were playing against 10 men but playing it long ball, we should have been playing it around them and using the man advantage.

Forgot that they were down to ten men.

Was ridiculous tactics to keep trying to play that same long ball pass against ten men when they were playing so deep with a Warnock defensive line of 4 central defenders and were happy to keep heading it away all evening.

I can appreciate there must be intense pressure from playing in front of a large crowds etc and the difficulty for a 'young' player when they are jeered when in their mind they are trying direct/pressing play to win the game, however to stick his finger up at those who ultimately pay his wages, support and look up to him (esp younger fans) was unforgiveable. I know he apologised about it afterwards, but the club should have acted (don't think they did?) and made an example of him because of the role model he is as a professional footballer. If memory serves me right he just run off the pitch after the game like a sulking child...IMO he should never have received the arm band.

I know its not at the same level, but if one of the boys that I coach in my sons footy team stepped out of line like that, I wouldn't care if we were winning/needed that player, if I could, they would be subbed, and they would not hear the end of it until they were properly brought back into line. No player is bigger than the team.

Approx 5m for a centre half that gets beaten in the air week in week out = good sale by us...as long as we get some money to re-invest and all of those funds do not disappear into the 'its run like a business' hole.

Im in the lower west but wasn't at the game...

Yes, he was under orders when it happened that the crowd didnt like and instead of the fans shouting at the management they shouted at him. Yes he shouldn't have reacted especially not at home in front of the away fans but players make mistakes and its good he knows how to apologise for his mistakes.
