soggy biscuit Some Dutch journalist on R5 just said that Sneider will be a Utd player within the next 7 days. Reckons De Jong has already admitted that he has been looking for houses for him.

That story was in the Sun this morning

You keep quoting European sites though to make you sound ITK

How has he tried to sound in the know when he clearly said he'd heard the journo on the radio?

JoeyJoeJoeJnrShabadoo Bothroyd to QPR

He wont do anything next season. He didn't warrant an England call-up either. QPR and Swansea will come back down with the bump of all bumps.

Whore Jackie Konchesky to Leicester.

I feel a bit sorry for Konchesky. An established premier player at Charlton and Fulham, and then gets his breakthrough signing for Liverpool. The next thing he knows, he's loaned to Forest and ends up as a Championship player with Leicester. Who are by no means guaranteed to go up. Mind you, he must have made some dosh off the Liverpool contract.

I know what you mean, unlucky to get caught up in the Hodgson era and the staggering belief of LFC fans that if their left-back isn't the world's greatest to go with their perception of the club, then he has to get taunted out of the club

TBM IF the reason Carlos Tevez wants to leave Man City is cos he wants to be closer to "home" in Argentina..........then why are teams like Chelsea/Inter/Madrid etc being name dropped!?

:?

His mrs couldn't settle in England due to the weather, hence he now believes that a move to sunnier climes of Spain or Italy will allow her to settle

Madness again. Decent player with the ball at his feet but not worth £20m.

Why are Liverpool spending the GDP of the North West on B and C list players? Got to be a concern if you're a Liverpool fan. I know King Kenny can clearly do no wrong, but what's plan B if spending big doesn't work?

And what's the expectation accompanying this spending? Does Kenny think he's going to win the League this year?

There's little doubt that Liverpool are trying to build a league-winning squad, but whether that happens this season depends on everything falling into place straight away, which is unlikely. It sounds like Meireles is on his way, which will be a loss, but there's no doubt that the addition of Henderson, Adam and Downing has strengthened the squad and in the latter Liverpool finally have a genuine dribbling, cross-making winger, which is exactly what the signing of Carroll called for.

Those three, plus Kuyt, Gerrard, Suarez, an improved Lucas, they'll be thereabouts.

And it's difficult to criticise an English team buying young English players, it's good to see.

What i like about Liverpool and Utd's signings though - is that they are English. Which can only be a good thing for England, them all playing together

Downing, Gerrard, Henderson, Carroll

Smalling, Jones, Ferdinand, Young, Rooney*

*i didn't include Carrick cos he's shit

I echo all of this but emphasise Suarez and Adam are brilliant brilliant players.

Johnson at Liverpool too, although he may fall into the Carrick category.
