Not football, but probably the worst bet in history yesterday.

In a hurry to put a bet on my betfair account during the parade lap at Silverstone, I meant to put up £3 on Algushwari to finish top 6 at 25/1 but, instead put £25 up at 3.0, which was greedily snapped up by some greedy opportunist.

What a tool.

Tough times to be a winner at betfair.

Cue talk of a mass exodus to betdaq, but as when this was introduced in 2008 I can't see it happening.

Mass exodus my bottom. The same punters moaning about it in 2008 are still there in 2011.

Haven't had a bet with Betfair for a while and today I had a phone call from them,a bit of a chat about the display of their website and then the bloke gave me a £10 in the account on the proviso that I use it within the next 5 days.
They also phoned yesterday-I think they are getting a bit concerned about losing customers.

Have to say the current design is horrible and very un-user friendly, quite why they had to change I don't know.

With the start of any season being a lottery, i am starting the season off by doing the both teams to score coupon.

I've picked 7 games, 5 folds, 6 folds and an acca, total stake £19.50, potential return of £520.

Let the season settle and then get involved with the fixed odds.

Any recommendation on what sort of stakes people put on accies?

What the sort of figure that makes it all worthwhile if they all come in, without breaking the bank if you do one each week?

It's down to the individual i guess, a treble is always an optimum with a £20 stake, but a smaller stake with more selections is also an option.

I like the both teams to score coupon, because a late goal can only help, it can't hinder, as i am the king of being undone by a 93rd minute goal.

When I was younger I used to do a 5-6-7 - so one 7-fold, x 6-folds and y -5 folds.

Is there a fancy name for this or any bookmakers who do this as standard?

If you want to do 7 teams with 5folds/6folds/7 fold it is a total of 29 bets (21 x 5 folds, 7 x 6 folds, 1 x 7 fold)

Anyone care to divulge their ante post bets for the season? Ive spent a lifetime at being shit on ante post selections, but pretty much everything i touched turned to gold last year. Ive backed Brighton on the spreads, maybe 1 or 2 more before the months out.
