fee agreed with birmingham for barry ferguson - blackpool. bit surprised by that. he'd be a key player for anyone at this level and he seems to be on his way to one of the smallest championship clubs who i can't imagine are spending big to get him.

birmingham to glasgow - 290.3 miles
blackpool to glasgow - 196.5 miles

so ok, fair enough. but when he played for blackburn he complained of being homesick.

blackburn to glasgow - 191.2 miles

he'll be further from home joining blackpool than when he was with blackburn. he really should just grow up and make the most of his career while he can, or go back to scotland and win easy trophies.

Chelsea have agreed a fee with Belgian champions Genk for their highly-rated teenage goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Courtois, 19, would become manager Andre Villas-Boas's first signing since taking over at Stamford Bridge.

The 6ft 6in Belgian international made 40 appearances for Genk last season in the Pro League and played a key role in their title success.

Isn't Cech only 29?

Seems odd to be lining up a replacement for someone who's still got 4-8 years left.

Not confirmed according to BBCR5 Live and Corinthians. Some dispute over installments. City want 2 and Corinthians want 4. Korabchian or whatever his name is wants more money!

The young keeper said recently: "Chelsea see me as the successor to Petr Cech. It won't happen in one or two years, but in three, four or five years.

"I can therefore work on my development in peace."

Corinthians have the 3rd biggest shirt sponsorship in the world, they are also one of the biggest sides in the world and recently the Brazilian league has signed a TV deal to rival the premier league
