Friday's Legacy the papers and sports news seemed very uninterested by this today. with bryan robson so heavily involved i was expecting quite a fallout.

Yes I hadn't notice anything in the press either.

Para Handy Erm, it's been reported nationally and internationally. Not sure where you lot get your news from.

It was always unlikely to be reported on Sky Sports News wasn't it?

Sporting Life had a story about the FA or FL asking for the Dispatches evidence and tapes so they could look into it too.

It's not that big a news story though is it? Everyone knows it's a shady business with lots of shady goings on behind the scenes.

What with all the stuff going on already this has at least come at the right time.

And yes, what a remarkable coincidence that Leicester and Cardiff were specifically mentioned as already having been done and were the two champ clubs with the most loanees last season. And of surprisingly good quality too.

And oh look, Leicester are spending big again. I hope they fail for the next couple of years, just like Cardiff have and the buyers get massively stung.

"Leicester have moved to distance themselves from Joe Sim."

Of course they have.

"Former England captain Bryan Robson confirmed on Wednesday he is to take legal advice following claims made in Dispatches."

Of course he is.

Save your money, Bryan. You'll need it.

Big Foot Is anyone really that surprised that in a land with a corrupt press and government, football is as fvcked as shown tonight?

I wonder which media millionaire it was that commoditised football?

The whole idea of the premier league was nothing to do with SKY. They just hijacked the deal that ITV (who pushed for the changes) had cosily assumed would go their way. At the time SKY was a struggling company with small subscription numbers, who took a massive gamble.

Actually, it was Alan Sugar (then Spurs Chariman) who was the prime instigator within the then 1st Division Chairman to give Sky the TV rights, as he saw that loads of people would subscribe so his company, Amstrad, would sell vast amounts of satellite dishes.

And Sugar who had a decisive vote to sell the PL rights to Sky rather than terrestrial TV, despite the massive and obvious conflict of interest.

Svlad Cjelli - Change ownership regulations so that supporters (via their elected representatives) own 51% of any football club - as in Germany. That immediately turns it back into a "club" and stops it being hawked around like a commodity.
- Reform the FA so that it actually fulfils its role as "Guardian of the Game" - with proper powers to investigate and ensure compliance and financial responsibility, with a proper rulebook. Of course, to do that it needs to be reformed properly so it's got more power than its bastard child, the PL.

Not easy to do these I know, but they'd solve the vast majority of the problems in an instant.

That's not 10% the case though, even in Bundesliga.

Bayer Laverkusen and Wolfsburg are exempt from that due to the nature of the investments that each has received from Bayer and VW respectively. Equally, Hoffenheim are openly flauting the spirit of the regs in place through Deitmar Hopp's impersonation of Brooks Mileson, and other clubs are now legally contesting the Bundesliga rules.

Indeed - I was simplfying. Although the exemptions with Bayer Laverkusen and Wolfsburg are more down to the fact that they started as "company" teams so their ownership was different to the others anyway.

But the point really is that any such ownership rules - whilst not perfect - could only be a damn sight better than we have now.

Some rules >>>>>> no rules

Totally corrupt barsteward.

If I was the Leader of a Political Party, I'd be very, VERY wary of receiving say, £35,000 a month into my private office from him, especially in this day and age where corruption between business and politicians is such a hot topic........

oh.
