then i'd say they expect you to underachieve. if i was forking out the sort of money to have my son in a private school i'd expect a lot better.

KEBEISTHEGREATEST We do different GCSE's then what State schools do
There are different levels with regards to GCSE. Foundation and Higher.
State does Foundation which is incredible easy.
Independent and private do Higher which are really hard.
For example the science foundation past paper I got 80% where that would be a A*. Higher I got 60% which is a B.
So you really cant compare it.

If you get an A* in Foundation but a C in higher. People regard the C in Higher to be better then a A* in foundation.
