Friday's Legacy
Ideal
Carew should be fierce at this level, if he can be bothered.
He might just think the championship is a nice coconut retirement league to get a final payday..
If motivated he should get 20+ in this division.

only 20? a player of his ability should get you 30+ at this level. v.good signing and that ends their interest in long.

30+ is a tad optomistic...

I was pleased to see that Noel Hunt is well on his way to his 15 goals this season anyway.

What does that matter? Long didn't score until September last season

We'll see - I just can't see Hunt scoring 15+ goals this season.

Hunt's problem is he's just very stupid. No sort of awareness or knowledge of the game were present yesterday. Headless chicken comes to mind

You seem to be ignoring his many excellent flicks to Long last season which set up many of his goals. Also he always seems to get into the right areas to follow up shots. Now he just needs to learn where the goal is and he will get 15 goals this season.

I give you, he can win a header. He's got a great leap on him but he doesn't use the skills he does have to the best effect. He could do so much more - that's really what i meant. Probably a bit harsh to say no awareness but yesterday there wasn't, to be fair. He could be a Shane Long mould of striker i.e. 15-20 goals a season at least

Royal Lady NO WAY will Hunt get 15 goals this season for a start.

We've relied for too long on one goal scorer - Long, Siggy, Doyle. We, quite literally, have no-one that we can guarantee will score if Long goes.

I'd say that Ian's goals tally sounds about right to me. I reckon that one of our strikers, other than Long, could get 15 this season, really believe the most likely is Manset rather than Hunt. And I'm not just saying that after yesterday's double.

I'm looking forward to a potential snowballing for RL at the end of the season.

I'll happily hold my hands up and say I was wrong - I hope I am - but I just can't see him scoring 15 or more league goals.

possibly a touch harsh, however what was evident was his sheer lack of pace.

West Brom are apparently looking for a striker after they've sold Ishmael Miller.

considering he couldnt be arsed to get himself fit in preseason, in the hope of getting a club, and just sat around piling on weight, id say its a pretty good indication he couldnt give a flying one.
