Royal Rother Not that I know much / anything about the other CCL teams but from what people were saying yesterday I would imagine that South Park will be one of the challengers for promotion.

It was a pretty decent crowd - I'd have thought 180-200.

.... Can't say I saw much CCL1 last term but don't think S.Park were many people's tips. They gathered momentum and had a couple of great runs to win silverware too.

I did see Farnham who I think were champs and they looked tidy enough especially at home.

The CCLP is an odd league with the same clubs usually fighting around the top 6.

You'd have to delve around the Forum on Fansfocus.com for this seasons' tips. I'm sure you've already been on there it is one of the better league-based msgbds.
I'd expect to see Guildford, Camberley & Molesey being in the mix again and all have a fair following @ this level though far less than Windsor would be used to.

.... iPod must have a bouncy screen!

[Back on the creaky ol' Desktop now' :| ]

Forgot to mention above - 'Fizzers' 3-0 win over Chessington & H. was achieved with a certain Danny Seaward in their ranks - didn't know he'd left Scours - he was certainly one of their brighter sparks whenever I saw them last season?

Officially, 237 at Windsor and I echo RRs comments that Windsor were lucky to get a draw. Roll on Tuesday and a trip to Wembley FC (Riots permitting).

So now we're postponing park football matches due to riots in a different part of London?

Do the Met Police still run a team, are their games off?

The League wanted it to go ahead but Windsor said they were unwilling to fulfil the fixture in view of the fact that a number of players would be travelling in from various parts of London by Tube and back out around typical riot-time and they did not feel it fair to ask them to do that.

The failure to fulfil the fixture may well count against the club and the game may be forfeited but the club hope that the circumstances will be considered with some sympathy.

And how far is Wembley from Ealing? Personally, I would have loved to have gone to the game tonight, however, sat nav is not advanced enough to indicate areas of civil disorder.

Yup - should have been playing @ Corinthian Casuals tonight now cancelled as is their reserves match @ h v Molesey.

Not due to play league games until Sat 20th (Ryman Isthmian)

UPDATE
Midweek games played in the CCL this week threw up a few interesting scores for Royalists: (and of passing interest to Royals  )

Molesey having lost on Saturday - won 3-0 @ S.Park - may put Windsor's performance into some context (may not).
Camberley surprisingly beaten @ home by Badshot Lea.
Guildford won 6-2 away @ Mole Valley on Sat thumped Sandhurst 4-1 last night - I was there and they look pretty fearsome up front - three big lads with pace and movement and some tricksy wingers too. Though Sandhurst were very wasteful in front of goal.

In Div One - Guernsey started with a big 5-0 win over Knaphill in front of nearly 1500 then came to Hartley Wintney on Tuesday night and dropped two points thanks to a thumping free-kick deep into injury time from former 'hero' Martin 'Skittles' Williams :) - though the HW fans know him as 'Willo'.
Home side had been reduced to 10 men for most of the 2nd half - but was a good flowing game - maybe CCL1 won't be such a stroll for the new boys.
Crowd was close to 250.

Will do a fuller preview for this Sat but some 'highlights' a bit further ahead -
Monday 15th CCLP Windsor v Camberley
Friday 19th FA Cup Extra Prelim Ascot v Wembley
Saturday 20th CCL1 Eversley v Guernsey

Ascot United v Wembley, FA Cup Extra Prelim, Friday 19/08/2011, 7:45 KO

This match has been moved forward to the Friday evening, 7:45 KO and will be the official "first kick" match in the FA Cup competition this season.

Penalty shoot-out against Dave Beasant at half time with FA Cup Final tickets as prizes and the actual FA Cup trophy at the ground.

Sorry not doubting the source just wondered ......

Poole Town v Stourport Swifts
Taunton Town v Abingdon Utd - I believe this could be our destination this w/e. Since its School Hols I don't need to ferry young 'uns about to Swimming/Piano/Diving etc etc so can set out earlier for a 'new' ground - hope the M4/M5 behave - there's a few 'stand-bys' en route.

UPDATE : Apparently just been told this match has been switched to Abingdon's Northcourt ground cos of a recent (?) fire at "Torenton's" club house - Oh well - will seek elsewhere then.

NBI've not included any fixtures involving the Five Reserve sides in this division buts that's just my personal preference - I wouldn't usually watch that sort of game even if at a new ground but if anyone interested enough wants me to post them in future w/e previews then I will.

Chalfont Wasps v Chinnor
Letcombe v Rayners Lane
Newbury v Finchampstead
Penn & Tylers Green v Lambourn Sports
One West
Not exactly 'local' but for reasons as yet unknown Trowbridge vs Hook Norton has been postponed in this division - probably a funfair/carnival or summat - will post any news if more 'significant'.
UPDATE : Sadly is it "more significant'' game has been postponed due to the tragic death of a Hooky player. :(

Pewsey Vale v Team Solent
Tadley Calleva v Hythe & Dibden
