Have quickly scanned through the League One and Two line ups and picked out several ex Royals in addition to Hughes who I hadn't realised was at Charlton till I saw the earlier post. May well be more that I didn't spot.

Jamie Cureton made his debut for Leyton Orient but there is no sign of Dave Mooney in the O's line up or bench. Bas Savage made a cameo appearance for 4 minutes for Northampton - would have loved to see him playing alongside Akinfenwe. Alan Bennett made his debut for Cheltenham Town at Gillingham. Ben Smith appeared for Crawley in their Football League debut match. Scott Rendell played for Wycombe. Scott Golbourne played for Exeter (current Royal Bignall played 90 minutes)

Rosenior - Hull.... but no Harper, still there?
Harding - Saints
O'dea (?) - Leeds ... is he the one we had on loan from Celtic?
Kitson - Pompey... signed for them or on loan again?
Tyson - not in the squad for Derby - injured?

A Northampton fan at work asked what I thought about Bas Savage who is now playing for the Cobblers

I think my initial expression gave away what I thought but I didn't want to depress him so I said he always gives 100%

To be honest I couldn't think of any other positives and now I'm not even sure that is true
