Super Kevin Bremner! Nice bit of due dilligence from Stoke on the Kitson transfer then! Having heard the interview with the guys at West Brom who signed Shamus, they have gone in to the minute detail needed to ensure he wouldn't be a bad character to have around the place.

Stoke WILL be relegated within the next couple of seasons, their big-time charlies will want to leave, and the Stoke board WILL be praying that they go back up within two years.

OR, they WILL be proper fooked.

Reading approach>>>>>>>>>>Stoke everyday.

Where does our due dilligence on Halford and Fae fit into the grand scheme of things?

yep. sometimes a player who is a great servant, and epitome of a great attitude, at one club, fails to replicate that at his next

It's a good question, but you could call those quickly learned lessons. The club were pretty naive in those days and we don't make those mistakes any more. And we were "well-run" enough to get our money back without too much fuss, unlike Stoke with Kitson and Sonko.

Not sure we were naive, we just got it wrong.

Every club does at times of course, I was just pointing out that we're not a lot different to any other club in that respect.

Think it comes from our attempt to step up a level in signings. It was out of Coppell, Hammond & McDermott's experience level and they just didn't really know what they were doing when trying to sign players of Prem quality.

That's being very generous IR.

These are guys that had been doing their jobs for a good long while and scouted and signed Premier quality players plenty of times. Coppell had managed in the top flight previously, albeit some time ago. They just got a few wrong that's all. It's not an exact science, it won't come off every time you sign someone.

I don't think it hurts to accept they plain and simply cocked up now and again.

Oh yes, it was a cock up, I just think it's largely down to being out of their comfort zone and experience level.

Sir Dodger Royal Not so long ago Stoke City were viewed as second rate to RFC. How things have changed. It just shows what a well run club can achieve. Even negotiating for the likes of Crouch & Palacios. If only RFC had some ambition then maybe Stoke would still be second rate.

No doubt the RTGs believe the boll**ks spouted by our deranged Chairman but then they all tend to be braindead so little hope on that front.

I am surprised the Madman wasn't up in the smoke looking for bargains over last few days. How he has the aldacity to come out on the pitch with his stupid monkey claps prior to kick off god only knows. Still the RFC fans have no bal** so sit there like dummies lapping it all up.

I wonder whether they will have the same view when we floundering later in the season. They will probably say how well we are playing in view of the fact that all the best players have been sold.

Praise the Lord. If only he could helppppppppppppp

LOL at this load of crap. Just who do you think you are you limp brain moron.

I have spent millions on players Leicester City 0 - I don't need to spend millions on players Reading 2 - Need I say more.
Real factsssssssssssssss from a real supporterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Hi Dodge.

Neither bollocks nor balls are censored, so just go ahead and use them without the stars next time. oxf*rd and oxf*rd are censored.

Also: audacity, not aldacity.

HTH.

Hooray, huzzah, yippeetits and all that – but I certainly won’t be calling John up after each win to thank him for kicking us in the bollocks at the start of every season. I don’t have his phone number. And I can’t seem to get any reception in my house. It’s ok in the toilet, but there is only one and it’s a shared house – the others get kind of fed up if I spend lengthy spells in there making sarcastic prank calls to wealthy businessmen; though apparently it’s alright to sit in there for 45 minutes and leave the toilet bowl looking like a yawning Adolf Hitler.

USE THE F????ING BRUSH.

I'm not sure Stoke have ever been second rate to Reading. Stoke have always been a much bigger club.
