Royal Lady
If you still hate Futcher At least it won't take Kaspars too long to get used to the team colours

he'll get confused that we don't have hoops, mind!

OK should have added "...so long as our players don't have their back to him"

I watched QPR v Palace last year (with my qpr season ticket mate) and he was really good, think this is a really good signing for us.
My QPR mate, is gutted he has gone. Really rates him and like a lot on this thread reckons he's gonna be a terrific buy for us.

Really chuffed with this signing. I reckon it's a Bongani and Gorrks partnership from now on in?

.......................and we're not too proud to feed off those who got to where we want to be.......................seems an excellent signing to me.

The only downside is that he is coming up to 30 and has been replaced by the useless Gabbidon.
IIRC a tall , skinny defender who looks a bit awkward but a steady, reliable Championship defender,if that is what we want, rather than a player capable of playing in the Premier League.
Like everybody else I am glad that the club has signed a centre-back and realises that unfortunately Pearce and possibly the Spurs loanee and Morrison aren't first team material.

Lot of love for Kaspar from the QPR boards....most confused why he is being allowed to go and think he is better than they are keeping?!

Marvelous.

Sign Leigterwood for between £500k and £1m
Wah wah wah, we won't spend any money or make any signings, where's the money gone, wah wah wah.
Sign Khumalo (bugger he's a bit of a joke really) on loan from Spurs
Wah wah wah, we won't spend any money or make any signings, where's the money gone, wah wah wah.
Sign Mills for probably a small fee >£150k would be my guess
wah wah wah, we won't spend any money or make any signings, where's the money gone, wah wah wah.
Sign Gorkss for about £900k.

I wonder what's next?

Our attacking options aren't brilliant, but there adequate with HRK, Manset and Hunt all looking promising upfront and Kebe and McAnuff as wingers who've done plenty of damage for us to prove themselves.

Stop the soft goals and give the attack time to settle in, and we're definitely good enough to finish top 10 if not top 6. McDermott has answered the critics and taken action to resolve our problems by bringing in three defenders which we've shown we're desperately lacking in.

Hands up, I thought our defence looked quite promising at the start of teh season, but Khumalo's turned out to be utterly useless so far, and Harte and Griffin have massively deteriorated despite only being four months older.

Just seen Sonko is signing for Ipswich. That'll resolve their defensive problems.

Sonks and Ivar back together again. Could be interesting......................on their return to the Mad Stad later this season on New Years eve...

HRK, McAnuff, Hunt and Kebe taking on Sonko in the box = penalties galore... enough for us to manage to score at least 3.

This guy is very solid and should sort out our vulnerability in the air at the moment. Good work by all at Reading FC and I think he is just what we need. Lets hope there's another one coming in soon as we are still a player or 2 away from being really competitive in this division.

Just thought I'd echo the QPR love for this fella. Some comments:

“Gutted, best defender last season.”

“Thanks kaspers, but not a Prem defender IMO - lacks the pace, but gavce his all.”

“He was instrumental in our promotion and deserved a chance in the Prem.”

“He has been our best defender over the past few seasons. He does lack pace but he also lacked pace in the Champioship. A good defender can compensate for lack of pace with positioning and reading of the game.”

Good signing, but ONLY if we find some speed elsewhere at the back. Seems like we are building a defence of statues, and that concerns me.

Plus, the reality is we still need another CB. Pearce and Bongo couldn’t be any worse if we asked them to play on Ketamine.

im happy to have two CBs with out pace if the FBs are both young and quick, ala cummings and mills

Don't need two quick CBs if they're smart and the full backs have pace (Cummings & Mills), although obviously a quicker one is preferable. Maybe McDermott can turn Khumalo into a footballer.

What always happens next :|

They will make the same accusations next summer regardless of which division we are in and, regardless of how that season pans out they will say the same things the following summer ad infinitum until freezes over or brain transplants become available on the NHS (and this assumes that those in need will be able to rock up without one on board :| )

Don't forget Mills was signed as a WIP, I can't see him dropping Harte. By the law of averages Harte is due a free kick goal or good assist soon which will appease him for a while.

I thought Mills was really good last night and Harte, like all season so far (maybe Pompey apart) has been shocking, I'm not a fan of Harte but think he will still have the nod over young Mills.

Cummings though would be good cover for the CB's. I can't see Harry being too happy if we don't play Bongani and I think this season overall he has been better than Pearce anyways.

IMO the first choice back four at Hull will be Cummings, Bongani, Gorkss and Harte.

Have QPR got any more players they don't want?
