TBM Where did you get £380,000 from?

Apparently its "only" £8.7m a year, which is about £160k a week*

BBC seem to be the only people reporting this lower wage, in fact just searching his name on Google bring up various reports of him being on that €20M a year wage

AFTER TAX !!!!

Liverpool apparently set to sign Uruguay central defender Sebastian Coates for £7-12m (depending on source) - Coates was 'best young player' at the recent Copa America.

Good signing. Should give the creativity that Chelsea are currently lacking.

Probably Arsenal-bound, but Liverpool have been in the market for a young centre-back for ages, seems Coates fits the bill, half the price of Cahill (probably) too.

He's been playing as a central midfielder the last couple of years, in case you haven't noticed.

Having been to Villa Park a few times over the last couple of years, I can confirm you are completely and utterly wrong.

Ideal Ok. Where was Ashley Young playing the last few years the, not left wing by any chance?

Correct, down the left. Villa tend to play a 4-3-3 formation. With Downing on the right, and Bent up top. Supported by Petrov, Makoun and Reo-Coker/Delph as the three across the middle. You could substitute Agbonlahor for any of the front three, and sometimes Albrighton would play on the right with Downing on the left. Happy now?

Agreed, they can't really afford to let him go IMHO. He just gave Arsenal the extra edge in my opinion, and pushed the whole midfield forward.

Diego has agreed terms with Atletico Madrid and Wolfsburg need a creative midfielder - Rosicky is still held in very high esteem here in Germany and Kicker simply wondered (aloud) if it is a coincidence that Rosicky's agent is in Wolfsburg today. Very much a story based on putting-two-and-two-together but a story nonetheless. There's a link here - in German though.

Think Arsenal will only let him go if they get in Hazard or Willian
