1915 clip gives a good view of two sides of the ground.

Good spot.

a couple of observations...

1. no wonder the war dragged on till 1918 if that's what the soldiers were up to

2. weird how 40,000 in elm park doesn't look as packed as i expected. and either the film has been sped up or they are playing at a mental pace

It was Cliff Bastin who scored the winner, not Roy Bastin. FYI, the record crowd at Elm Park was 33,042, so 40,000 is way off the mark.

Reading wore stripes from at least 1891 up until 1938. Check out http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/

Terminal Boardom Was there a worse referee than Graham Pooley? Every time he came to EP you could guarantee a hatload of red and yellow cards and most of them for dissent! Massive lols at Derby's defence for JQ's opener. And is it me or does EP sound really loud compared to the Mong Stad?

Yes. Paul Reijer.

Fook me, that man was a dick.
