cmonurz One thing's for certain, I'm not convinced Shaun Wright-Phillips knows where QPR is, nevermind that he has to move. He could barely string a sentence together when interviewed SSN last night, the utter dipshit.

He managed to say the word chilling three times in a 12 word sentence though!!

lol @ Danns interview when at Blackburn

Interviewer: "So are you glad to be here at Blackburn?"
Dann: "I am happy a deal was finally sorted"
Interviewe: "There was talk of Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal - were you hoping for one of those to come in for you?"
Dann: "[wtf look] I am happy a deal was finally sorted - gotta go now"

Jogs off

 @ asking him that when he's just signed a deal with Blackburn and was still in their car park signing autographs

Joined Parma on a free a couple of months ago and has been loaned to Roma pending an £8m perm signing next summer. That's some bit of business for Parma.

"Arsenal offered £5m on Tuesday and £10m on Wednesday afternoon - both bids were rejected. Any deal was dead until around 1900 BST, when Arteta told Moyes he wished to leave.

"Moyes spoke to the chairman, Bill Kenwright, and said he did not want to keep a player who did not wish to play for Everton.

"Arteta was Everton's highest-paid player ever on around £75,000 a week and took a big pay cut to join Arsenal."

What's the difference between 75,000 and 55,000 pounds a week, really?* I'd take the pay cut and I admire him for it. It was refreshing.

*To any smartarse who replies with "20,000 pounds", I'm preempting you.

cmonurz Have to agree on all the points re Meireles, he is a quality signing for Chelsea. Reading the Liverpool boards they are sad to see him go, the one criticism that he sometimes goes missing in games, but that's tempered by all that he brought to the side. A gamble for Liverpool on Henderson but as TBM says if Meireles wanted out because he wasn't guaranteed a start, then they may as well make some money back on him.

Arteta is a cracking signing for Arsenal. Wenger has pulled it out of the back with some astute signings.

And Natalie Sawyer >>>>>>>>> the rest after last night. Holy moly.

Got to say I'm pleased with getting Meireles. Didn't think much of him when he first signed for Liverpool but the back end of last season once he'd settled in, he was quality.

Definitely a decent signing for Chelsea, I also thought they looked alot brighter when Lakaku and Mata came on at the weekend. If Fernando ever finds himself again then that will basically be another new signing this season and keeps them right in the mix

Blackburn Rovers have terminated the contract of forward El Hadji Diouf, Rovers boss Steve Kean has confirmed

Odds on him joining QPR?

Vicente has now signed for Brighton on a 1 year deal.

If he stays fit then he will be a great signing for them.

Saw on SSN last night that the Turkish transfer window was still open, can anyone tell me why? I thought this ridiculous window was something to do with UEFA wasn't it?
