here's a great clip of Wokingham's win in the previous round. Not just for the wildly overdone music and crowd noise, but for the groundhopper getting irate at 1 minute in because the ref has kicked off early.

Terminal Boardom Absolutely gutted! Went and saw Romford beat Royston Town 3-2 in the Cup and they had sold out of programmes.Great main stand with proper terracing in front. Shame about the other three sides which were non descript at best.

And Windsor play both of these in the next few weeks. Home to OCN in the Vase this Saturday and home to Shrivenham on 26th September in the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy.

Alan Partridge Well the fixtures to start with FoC are a complete shambles, with certain teams not playing until well into September. I know at Stanford we have 1 game in October and none at all in December. Everyone else is in the same predicament at some point in the season. Harwell Village and International both yet to play a league game. Both of these teams home pitches are available. (Inter's 2nd pitch is) why didn't these two play each other last Sat? Or even midweek. Instead you have Benson to Kintbury, Faringdon to Benson and all these complete nonsense journeys. Unneccesary.
I'd imagine Benson to Kintbury for a 6:15 kick off was off due to Benson not being able to fulfill the fixture. OK in N Berks league nowhere is THAT far but that's probably the furthest or one of the furthest journey's in Div 1. Coupled with people's work commitments (i'd imagine the Benson lads would work around the Wallingford area, maybe Reading area) to then get to Kintbury for a 6:15 kick off is ludicrous. Even more ludicrous when Kintbury are one of the few setups with floodlights. I played there last year under the lights. So no reason not to kick off at 7:30 or whatever.

Royal Rother Quite an impressive 3-0 for Windsor against Oxford City Nomads although it was made easier by a 1st half red card to the Nomads.
Windsor now look fitter and stronger and with 2 new players and a bit of shuffling positions things seemed to click quite nicely.
