Big Foot ...to get ourselves better setup for a return to the Premiership?
The likes of Kebe who don't want to be here would leave.
The deadwood like Griffin, McAnuff etc would leave.
The youngsters like Church, HRK & Obita etc would flourish
Would also create a bit of momentum if we were able to come back up almost instantly - Norwich, Swansea, Brighton are all examples of bouncing back stronger

Libertine No.
But if it did happen we'd be that much closer to being able to renew our rivalry with Aldershot.

fester_royal Yer...cause our days in league one hold so many happy memories!! Pants day ring a bell? Relying on signings like bas savage?
Relegation wouldn't equal a rebuild.. It would mean more cloth cutting!
In short it would be an effing disaster!!!

I don't ever recall us 'relying' on Bas Savage
Sometimes you have to take a step back to make a stride forward.
That and it'd mean some new opponents instead of the likes of boring Coventry, Derby, Watford etc

MmmMonsterMunch How could being relegated possibly be beneficial??
What a stupid thread.
League 1 means
Less TV revenue
Lower home ticket sales
Lower away ticket sales
Lower merchandising revenue
Lower corporate hospitality
Shittier shirt sponsorship
All the better players go
Good youth players will get snapped up by better academies - why would they go to a League 1 club when they could go to a champ / prem academy instead
NO NO NO
Would be a fcukin disaster.

Ferris For anyone who thinks we're in danger of going down, you can get a MASSIVE 20/1 with Stan James
